This really sounds like the kind of theme that would play during a surprise final battle or an unexpected second form of a final boss. Right when you think it's over and you've won, suddenly, you're thrown into a life or death situation against an overwhelmingly powerful foe, and something of pure evil... It's as if Luca's vengeful spirit returned and merged with the Beast Rune to become something even more horrible than they were individually, and now you're locked in a battle to the death against their combined form. If the first fight had a different music, and then this played during this theoretical fight, I could see that fitting very well.

I donno, it made sense considering his rune is literally a sword(and Hungry Friend is a barrage of swords), so switching weapons was only appropriate and besides he goes back to staff at the end.

when they both got the sword and shield runes, they are fated by destiny to fight each other. but shield is victorious

@@Zephal42 Yeah of course, he wants to exemplify the literal primordial god that chose to use him as a pseudo Avatar. Tonfas are actually also quite capable as shields in the end and are more meant as a defensive weapon to begin with.

@@pestbasin20407 Of course, their universe is straight up made by the collision of the Immovable Object vs. The Unstoppable Force. Order Vs Chaos and Shield and Sword are basically just shards of the two original beings whose sundering caused everything else to be created.
