Truly a great game. It sadness me to see that there are not many videos about first Suikoden and that it is slowly starting to go into obscurity.. But no matter how much time passes, this game never starts feeling old.

I know what you mean. The 90s was the best decade for RPGs because of the great stories they told. But now, they give little to no effort when it comes to trying to tell stories. Why can't they listen to what we want in an RPG? All I want in an RPG is good gameplay and a great story to follow. The rest is just icing on the cake.

i read in a guide that u load the saved game from the last save point in the castle , its found in the upper left at the same floor of the power ring .

@ARGCi You need him to be at least lvl 13, get his weapon to to the highest you can and give him the best armor available. Then you need to get all the choices right in the duel. When you win Tir´s father lets Pan go and retreats.

That is very simple.. before leknaat appears before that last army battle.. that is when you will have the chance to revive gremio... because when leknaat appears.. she will use the rune of yours to revive gremio..

@MegaYoufilm try asking google how to import save fine on PC coz its easy when youre using psp (which is im using when i play suikoden 1 & 2) btw..i manage to make max gold (999,999 i guess) by the mini game in some of the village there the coin and cup thing? ,three cups and you must find the coin.. actualy there is 2 patterns of which coin will be placed there and the 3rd pattern is very rare to apper, try to write down the pattern and quit the mini game after 4-6wins.....and bam

Just finished II last night. Suikoden games are the best games I ever played. Funny thing is I discovered Suikoden on accident when I was a teen. A friend I knew joined the military and he gave me his PS1 and games for free and Suikoden I was one of them. I wonder if they just have bad marketing or something.

+TheSeekerBabe I used a strategy guide but it was after the one character that is taken away after the duel with the Hero's character father. I used the guide to make sure I found all the characters but I had no idea that the one character was supposed to die so I got lucky that I built up his stats enough to survive that fight without the foreknowledge of knowing that it was how you got the best ending.

Similar story for me. But I managed to recruit everyone but learned later on that Pahn had to survive in order for the game to class it as assembling all 107 Stars (Minus Gremio). Bah!

It's possible that part of his spirit may have been left behind in the rune, even though he's alive again. *plays creepy music* Souls splitting themselves off into two is a common thread in manga, anime, and Japanese video games.

Or souls just being slit by other things or people, even. Or maybe Gremio's soul is just not in his body anymore, period....affecting and controlling it, but not directly inhabiting it. The Soul Eater is pretty powerful...I suspect it's probably still hanging onto something.

Love this game. I am a huge final fantasy buff and while this game doesn't have the story or the graphics, the gameplay is superb and not really annoying. And i only spent 5.99 for a game equally as fun to play as new 60 dollar releases.

And also to tell you that while Suikoden 1 was a little light on the story, Suikoden 2 is the best game story of all time and blows away even the best Final Fantasies! I know this is an old comment, but the skinny cook is found in Kirov, you have to check the stews in a couple of houses and I believe he'll appear at the inn there. As for Gremio, you have to recruit every single character BEFORE finishing Shazarazade. If you do, then Gremio will be brought back to life just prior to the attack on Gregminster.

Yeah. You needed to have Pahn alive in the fight against Theo in order for it to be a perfect ending. Just have to level him up prior to their one on one fight.

Oh I wonder this too. Ah, so it is true. Tir and Germio is cannon in Suikoden part 2. So this perfect ending proves that Tir and Germio wondered the land and helped others. I heard the last Suikoden sequel should take place in Harmonia, where all the corruption of different empires and such began.

Once again, same thing happened to me as well. I barely levelled Pahn so I got one shot by Teo thinking it was part of the script and didn't think too much of it. Well I downloaded a save file online that pretty much matches my own, only difference is that Pahn and Gremio are alive. Just started playing Suikoden series (Started number 2 now!). I can't believe I missed these games and only started playing them this year o.O!

You just needed to save inside the palace before the final fight. That save can be used for Suikoden 2

All 107 stars have to be alive (none died in major battles). Sonya Shulen needs to be released from Toran Castle’s jail in the basement after defeating her and taking Shazarade.

If you have all 108 Collect to the time where Leknaat shows up, she will revive Gremio so you have the true Power of the 108 Stars of Destiny. Leknaat will appear befor you will start the last charge on Gregminster.

Condition: 108 stars collected before talking to mathiu for the last battle. IMPORTANTLY. Before Pahn fighting Theo. Make sure he doesnt die! Keep his lvl strong and weapon lv strong before the fight
