【CORRECTION】 At 1:12 Chanko-san and Sui-chan actually says "一万八百円" or 10,800 yen (referring to the price per box), which I mistakenly heard as "一枚八百円" or 800 yen per piece😅 Sorry for the mistake! I'll be more careful next time

At around the period's exchange rate, it should be about 100 yen to $1 That's $108 for a tin of cookies, that sure sounds like MBS alright
@darksinz56
@darksinz56 Жыл бұрын
I think chanko-san made a mistake. Each can cost around 18sgd here. Which translate to 1800 yen more or less. As a Singaporean I will question a 108sgd can of cookie unless MBS is that scam.... heck I will go their gift shop 2moro after work to go check it out. Edit* went to MBS but couldn't find the shop selling the cookies. Might be the skypark gift shop which I can only check out on the weekend as it closes by the time I finish work.

Just googled the name of that shortbread cookie. It's only 12.80 Singapore dollars for a box, which is about 1400 yen. The most expensive one in a tin box costs S$33.50. I wonder how they got that price...

Welcome to Singapore, It`s kinda weird to think people would want to go to Singapore for a holiday when Singapore is so Tiny. The Universal Studios in Singapore is small and limited compared to Tokyo Disneyland. MBS has a casino and rooftop bar but i think Hong Kong/Macau has better facilities for gambling. Clubbing in Singapore is very limited too, Zouk has a youth crowd but after covid happened i`m not even sure if they are open. Food wise it is the best in SEA, but it depends on how much you want to spend.

Singapore is amazing to go to for less than two weeks at a time lol. Locals always say that there's nothing to do there, but it just isn't true (especially because locals tend to not want to spend money or can't afford to). I haven't lived in Singapore in over 10 years, but I go back several times a year and I always find something to do, even as a semi-local. Admittedly, though, many of those things are not uniquely Singaporean things (which Singapore has very little of, anyway).
