Did a few Google searches and nothing came up, but I checked a dictionary on my computer and came across a similar word by chance: maybe it's just わっさわっさ modified for effect? わっさわっさ is itself an emphatic version of わさわさ, which can mean stuff like 'cheerfully, in a lively way' and 'busily, agitatedly'.
