The best "upside down" view of the Matterhorn is from Stellise lake at sunrise, during summer there is a special cable car service to Sunnegga/Blauherd at 3am I think, then you need to walk a short way to reach the lake, it is an amazing place to photograph the Matterhorn from. If you have time, take a look! :)

Thank you for teaching me. I didn't know that because it wasn't listed in Japanese guidebook! I saw the view of Stellisee on the internet and it looks very nice✨✨

@@hiton.yamatabi I was in Zermatt in 2015 after completing the "Haute Route" hike from Chamonix to Zermatt solo and was spending a week resting my feet after that long hard hike when I found out about the view from Stellise and the special cable car service in the early morning, I took the special cable car service up to Blauherd then hiked in the dark to reach the lake, then sat with about another 20 photographers waiting for the sunrise over our backs, it was the most amazing view of the Matterhorn, I took about 300 photos over an hour as the view and colours changed with the sunrise. Amazing stuff if you have time to experience this. :)

@@hiton.yamatabi Yes, it takes about 2 weeks, staying at a different mountain huts each night. If you don't want to stay up in the huts, you can always walk down into the villages below to sleep, but it adds a lot more time as you have to walk back up to the trail each day. You will find lots of hikers around Monte Blanc and the Matterhorn ends, but very few hikers inbetween, makes it very peaceful with beautiful scenery!
