Are all stretch suits created equal? What's the best performance suit out there? How do you measure quality in athleisure fabrics?
The care & content label actually doesn't tell you too much. You'll have to do your research on how the fabric is constructed and where it is milled.

I bought my first Sene suit this Summer. When I first received it, it was NEARLY perfect, which was amazing considering the sizing is done by an AI based on answers I supplied to their questionnaire. I contacted Sene, provided photos and a video, and true to their guarantee, they remade the suit from scratch FOR FREE with adjustments they deemed appropriate based on my photos and video input. When I received the remade suit, what I find is the most perfectly fitted suit I have ever owned! My body type makes it typically difficult to get suits sized just right without breaking the bank with a bespoke suit...I'm short, slim, and athletic...and Sene delivered the best-looking suit I have ever owned.

I need help being fitted for a custom suit. Idk if your quiz would help get me the fit I'd like. For instance, I'm really big in my shoulders, over 19" arms, my lats and back are thick, but waist runs between a 32-34 depending on my current weight. Further, my arms are at around 77" reach, and my wrist are surprisingly thin for a man of my stature, but I'm 6'1" and 225lbs. Further, my hips and butt and calves are big, legs are long. I want a very tailored, sleek and sharp suit, need it for July 29/2022. I don't want boxy, it hanging over my hands, I don't want loose pants, but not ridiculously tight. Can you guys help??? Please! Been through this once, I was let down with the results

Thank you for this info, it's been helpful. I do have a question. How long can you expect performance stretch suits to last when compared to traditional suits? So would a performance stretch suit that costs $500 last as long as a traditional wool suit at $500?

Great question, it will actually last significantly longer. Performance stretch suits are far more durable than wool suits, which are more delicate relatively speaking

These are custom-made to fit, and have higher quality details. For example State of Liberty suits skimp on the lapel pickstitching and use cheaper buttons.

How does Ministry of Supply compare to Sene and Theory?

Great question Peter! The biggest difference is Sene is custom fit from scratch and Ministry is not. Ministry's suit is $90 more yet Sene's suit has better craftsmanship because of its bespoke heritage, including things like lapel pick-stitching. Also, Sene has a 60 Day Guarantee including free remakes & alterations until the fit is perfect.

@@pard73 It's very similar to the fabric used in Ministry's Kinetic Blazer, at least the original ones. They've been changing manufacturers lately so might not reflect current quality

@@Senestudio Ok, thank you. I have Ministry's Velocity suit and Apollo shirt; both are top notch for fabric quality and are incredibly comfortable. The suit does not, however, come is "short" (or "long") sizes so I needed extensive tailoring to get it to fit. The shirt is also only available is letter sizes - which is also a fit compromise. Thus, the Sene custom fit is an advantage for sure. Once we can actually travel, I'll have to look into your products! Thanks for the info...

X Suits I just found out about. My only problem with the aesthetician of X Suits are they don't look luxurious. But they have an INSANE amount of stretch. Check them out and let me know what you think. Oh, and X Suit doesn't have skinny or a slim fit.

To me, none of those suits looked good. Those materials defeat the purpose of wearing a suit, especially if you wear a suit for yourself and not just for a job. Might as well not even bother to wear such a suit.
