The neighbour also told a time line: Around 7 pm they started arguing (loud) - not unusual - actually quite common. At around 10.30/45 the arguing became louder and came from the 1. floor. One theory are: Upstairs SB hit JT with the baseballbat (the injury in his head) - he was knock down - unconscious - she panic - and put him into the suitcase. After 11 pm the neighbour heard a huge bump coming from the stairs - even hits the wall, so he could feel the vibration. After that - silent (no one arguing). He vent to bed around 1 am - and up the next morning to go to school. The detective interviewed him 2/27/20 - so days after the interrogation, so they didnt have the time line. Phone calls: SB didnt call the ex - it was the ex who was calling her several times during Monday morning.

@@heleneschmidt8419 How the hell do you know so much about this case? During the videos he was downstairs. I wonder if she pushed him down the stairs in the suitcase because she wanted to move the suitcase to her car but couldn't physically do it, so she decided to make up the story about unintentionally forgetting he was in the suitcase. Jorge's injuries didn't seem consistent with falling downstairs in a suitcase so maybe she did hit him with the red bat she mentioned, and put him in herself like you said. This clearly wasn't hide and seek.

For me, it’s even more indicative that she planned this whole thing & it was absolutely premeditated murder. It’s like she decided to kill him so she made sure her last few days w him were “good” so she could claim his death later as a total accident. “I had no reason to kill him, we were doing SO good”. What truly stops an incredibly toxic & destructive couple from arguing? When one finally sees a way out.

I think she totally misses the gameplay of "Hide & Seek". You don't put someone in the hiding place and then say "So now I'm going to go in another room, count to ten, and then come find you in the place I just put you!" What a dope. All she cares about is herself. She was punishing him.

I think she is trying to imply that the suitcase was used to conceal him so she could go hide. He was supposed to get out and come seek her. If she had simply said that she went upstairs to hide but while waiting for him she fell asleep the story could have had some credence. Many drunken people die through playing stupid pranks. However, she didn't manage to stick to that story and that video called her out.

I used to be a heavy black out drinker for a long time. Sadly, I do understand FULLY forgetting what I did the night before.. I had like 4-6 hour memory gaps. I think she passed out on the couch (probably shortly after taking that video).. woke up early in the morning, went upstairs, was still drunk, and half asleep. When she finally woke up later in the day with a hangover, she found him in the suitcase and "kinda" remembered last night. She's still very accountable, though, same as someone killing somebody drunk driving. I'm glad I quit drinking.

most certainly not. she did wait to call 911, but not too long. there was also a puzzle and some paintings left out. she does have a son, but he wasn't there this night. he was with his dad. so here's what i think happened. she spun the hide and seek story off the dome on the 911 call, and then was forced to commit to it. so to make it seem like the night was all fun and carefree before the suitcase thing, she grabbed whatever was around to throw around on the table. and that just happened to be some of her son's stuff. i do not believe for one second that she and her adult boyfriend spent the evening coloring, doing puzzles, and playing hide and seek.

NO true DV victim would ever go upstairs to sleep IF she thought there was a chance in hell that he could get himself out of the suitcase. jorge had his own alcoholism issues but i believe she tricked him into the suitcase, shoved the case down the stairs, beat him with the bat and flipped over the suitcase several times, just bcz she could. while the interview is hilarious bcz she is such a bad liar and lacks any pretense of empathy or remorse, our hearts go out to his entire family. sarah should never be free again, she is EVIL. she can be the prison pruno qween til someone unalives her , imo.

So many people give absolute truths about the behaviour of others, but we can't know what's going on in someone else's head, let alone in a crime like this. Theories stem from our own observations, experience, and education (which includes learning from all available sources!). One thing I find myself pointing out in other forums is, Sarah stated that she can't remember making the video of Jorge in the suitcase. But then, she also claims things like, she didn't zip it up all the way, and that she wasn't being malicious, and that she thought he was bluffing, etc etc. How can she remember any of that, if she can't remember making the video in the first place? I was disappointed in the interrogators for not using that - for not pointing it out. That in itself is an important factor for the prosecutor to use.

Sara Belize, that her falling asleep makes it abundantly clear that she did not intend for George to die in the suitcase. Therefore it was.” not intentional.”.. which she leaves absorbs her from all guilt. What is upsetting to a lot of people is that Sara has never shown real remorse, or expressed any believable grief over the fact that George has died. She is intent only on getting herself out of trouble. No wonder Georgia’s family did not approve of Sara.

Sarah said, "I don't like not feeling in control" as a way to convince them she didn't have a drinking problem that obviously led to the murder of her fiancé. And I think she's telling the truth when she claims to need to feel that she's in control at all times, but I don't believe that proves she doesn't drink. In fact, it proves the opposite. I think alcohol is what made her feel powerful and in control of others, especially Jorge. She's so avoidant to admitting her own issues that she's a raging hypocrite who thinks she's a victim of circumstances purely outside of her "control".

I just can't fathom WHY 2 grown adults would even play hide and seek??? Much less WHY would a grown man get into a suitcase?? And why would he allow her to zip it up??? Unbelievable!

Obviously there was no hide and seek. But I think she dared him to try to get in. It's very unlikely she could hit him hard enough with only superficial tissue trauma to be unconscious for the time it would take to cram him into the suitcase. It's not like TV. Even head trauma that leads to unconsciousness for >30s usually is severe and has a poor outcome. It would take a lot of force. And he would have am imprint of the weapon on his head. His contusion was more likely from pushing him down the stairs in the suitcase

But as to why he got in the suitcase who knows. They were both quite drunk and it was probably a dare. You are more willing to do dumb things when you are drunk.

In the car interrogation of Sarah by these detectives, she states that she wanted to play hide and seek and hid in the shower upstairs. When he didnt come and find her, she went back downstairs to find him chillin and doing his own thing. So she changed her story like 4 times. Also, I am confused as to why they kept overtalking each other and why when she said she was leaving him in there for 5 mins or so and they asked her why would she do that, she starts to answer and they again cut her off and overtalk her. They also did not pin her down on details and timelines. This whole interrogation was badly done IMO.

At first she says she came down in morning then changes it to this afternoon. She was probably very dehydrated because they actually had two bottles of wine. That’s why she drank from the faucet. Also, she seems to think that because they had some wine, worked on a puzzle and did art, that they were classy or something. She repeats that like it will make her believable.

We'll probably never know the truth, but I'd love to know how she got Jorge to get in the suitcase. I would suggest doing a video on Stephanie Lazarus. She was a police officer in LA who killed her former fling's new wife, was not caught, and went on to rise through the ranks in law enforcement before being caught for the murder about 20 years later. She had an absolutely fascinating and bizarre reaction to being interrogated.

I don't think she could have forced him in. A few years before she had taken a picture of her son in that suitcase and put it on Facebook. Child Protective Services were called but she was cleared when her son said that it was his idea and they were doing it for fun. I think she said I bet you can't get in there and he fell for it. The scratches could have been him trying to get away as it was being zipped. There were 2 long scratches across the bottom of his back and one across the back of his neck. The busted lip, black eye, hurt shoulder and multiple other injuries could be from her pushing the suitcase down the stairs and flipping it over many times until he was in the worst possible position to be able to get a breath. I would think she beat him with the bat while he was in the suitcase because many items in the suitcase had blood on them. At one point when she is reading off her list of questions she reads what was confiscated and some of the items sounded like a bloody tie, a bloody can? which she read off like she was reading a grocery list and the bat was on that list. Her ex-husband said it was a child's size Louisville Slugger wooden bat he had bought for their son. It is so distressing to think about what that poor man went through. Instead of begging her for help he should have said if you don't let me out you'll be in prison for the rest of your life and never see your son again or drink wine again or vodka. Maybe that would have been something she cared about. Heartfelt condolences to his loved ones🙏🏼🛐

And her attitude is just crazy. She needs a conviction even if it is 10 years because I already know if she doesn’t already have a criminal background she’s going to walk with practically no time. RIP. She contradicted herself multiple times as you listed out.

Honesty is important: there were several times when Jorge inflicted injury, too. Recognizing that fact doesn't mean Sarah's not guilty. They were both abusive and drank excessively. BUT... on the night Jorge died, there was no proof that he was a threat to her. She committed second-degree murder, but could've taken a plea deal for involuntary manslaughter and probably been out in 5-6 years when credited for time served.
