The Otto track was really good by giacchinos. The rest of the movie needed lucas work and that’s a fact not even opinionated.

@@liddorman1 Yeah “Otto Trouble” was awesome. Giacchino’s score has many great tracks and new themes but needed more of the old themes - we barely heard Electro and Goblin’s, and Tobey and Andrew’s themes deserved more spotlight. Kinda surprised since Giacchino’s great at reprising old themes in his scores

@@liddorman1 Lol that’s one way to do it! We easily could have heard Electro’s whole theme during his first fight. Goblin’s theme could’ve appeared more, it was barely there. And Sandman’s themes didn’t appear at all. It’s wild. The Sinister Six theme is solid but the characters all have great distinct themes too. Really happy we heard the Horner and Zimmer Spider-Man themes but I’m shocked how subtle and short they were, definitely needed to hear them in the action scenes.

I absolutely love the NWH soundtracks by you & Michael Giacchino, but one thing that you do even better is the usage of the old themes. One thing that disappointed me a lot in NWH is the usage of the old themes, very minimum. Green Goblin's theme was used once & then he got a new theme, but that new theme was absolutely great though. But still, the way you utilize the returning themes is better.

Giacchino probably didn't have a chance to use the previous themes as much because of royalties... I mean Giacchino isn't afraid to pay homage to past scores: his Jurassic World scores are shot full of Williams' theme.

@@jordanlucas7392 it's not bad, but it's a little generic. I've heard fan covers (such as Luca Salis here) make Zimmer's theme sound better than the original version. But when you take into context that Andrew already had the Horner theme, the Zimmer theme just feels like it shouldn't exist.

Hey Luca, I have a question. So you know how in some OSTs, the music sounds different compared to the one actually used in the film/show. For example, Terminator Salvation's theme song "Opening" (by Danny Elfman) sounds different in the OST compared to the film (it is longer & does not feature the original Terminator theme in OST). So if you choose to make a cover of a song like that, which will you choose to cover, the film version or OST version?
