It's been thirty years since I stayed at the El Cid in that very tower. Still looks as wonderful and inviting as ever. Sadly we have not been back in decades due to the reports of danger and crime in the state of Sinaloa. Is it safe to travel to Mazatlan and tour the city as we once did? Such great memories with friends and family there in those early years.

Thanks for checking out my video and I agree - El Cid is a wonderful hotel in a great city! Regarding crime I can say I e visited several times and never felt unsafe or had a problem, but of course it’s good to be concerned and do research before visiting anywhere.. What room was that or what floor?? It looks perfect !!

It was on the 15th floor of the tallest tower (El Moro). Very spacious and the views were gorgeous!
