Hi guys!! This was awesome to watch!! When we were in Idaho our sister in law had 2 hydrators going the 2 and a half weeks we were there helping her with projects. She did onions, mushrooms, herbs from her garden, vegetables, and a whole lot of other things. She even did bite size candy bars and skittles, gummie bears, malted milk balls, and I can't remember all the others. Everything was really good!! I told her that would be great for us to save freezer space. I have more cupboard space than freezer space in our 5th wheel. 😂 Thanks for doing this video, and I would love to see more like this. Also, meal prep for on the road. Take care...💜

Thanks Carol. All of those projects sound yummy! Yes, we have more cupboard space than freezer space and that's the beauty of dehydrating. We appreciate you and love the feedback!

Yes, please share away. I can and dehydrated. I also make jerky. Doesn't last long with the grandsons and son. But that's OK. I can always use new ideas and ways. You know what they say. " No matter how old you are, you can always learn new ways and different ideas." Thanks for sharing. I am looking forward to more of Jim and Kelly.

Kelley, and Jim, great idea on dehydrating veggies. This will save you freezer space. You can also dehydrate tomatoes, onions, garlic ect...and make a powder for bags or jars. Ever think about using the portable garden with a light for your counter top? You could grow herbs, or some veggies wjile traveling. They're pretty inexpensive. Changing the thin plastic on your lock is a real good thing. I've literally identfied the 4 worn numbers on locks on rv doors at parks. Safety is a priority when traveling. Replacing the plastic with a good quality skin is so much better. Video suggestion how do you store your chemicals for maintaining the rv while traveling in hot summers, and cold winters.

Hi~ Prepping ahead is such a good idea and I enjoyed watching Kellie do the prepping and explain how she does it. Last week my sister and I had been camping in her RV. She doesn't drive it, but a friend of her husband has been driving it to and from. We take their Tahoe so we have wheels and can roam the area we are in. We were on our way home and stopped at the rest area north of McPherson, Ks and I saw a rig sort of like yours. The New Horizon 5th wheel was red and black like yours and they had a small red car. I watched and a couple were walking over to it. Then I knew it wasn't the 2 of you. I wondered if by chance you would know them. If it had been you, I would have probably run over to pester you!

I’m just back from Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons; amazing as always! I will sure miss my garden and canning as well. I am scratching my head attempting to make compartment space for a mini freezer we like our freezer jam and freezer sweet corn. Also she makes our dogs food that we freeze in bratwurst size bags like 45 pouches a batch. Now you have me thinking on when we cob it to dehydrate some can rehydrate to cook and add tab of butter the same. Thanks for the tip on new membrane also mine is cracked again always same # I yell that someone is using finger nail to punch code

Kellie, do you ever have a problem of breakage with your mason jars while traveling? Or are they the acrylic ones? Loved that you showed the dehydrating and fixing the door handle. They may be small items, but they are necessary to keep up for sure. And, I’m always wondering about food storage out on the road. Great solutions! Thanks and keep ‘em coming!👍🏼❤~W
@SuiteTravels4 ай бұрын
Hi Wendy, no, I haven't had any problems with my jars breaking, but I usually use mylar bags with oxygen absorbers to store my food long term. Mylar bags are lighter and easier for me to use, but if you want to use glass jars, they do have mason jar storage boxes that you can purchase to keep them safe. 😉
