Here's a simple recipe for suji ka halwa:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup semolina (suji)
- 5 cups water
- 2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup ghee
- 2 green cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon yellow food colour
- Chopped nuts (almonds or pistachios) for garnish
Instructions:
1. Heat ghee in a large saucepan over medium heat.
2. Add suji and roast until lightly browned, stirring constantly.
3. Add water and sugar. Cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens and the suji is fully cooked.
4. Add green cardamom , yellow food colour and stir well.
5. Serve hot, garnished with chopped nuts.
You can also add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness or a splash of rose water for extra flavor. Some people like to add a splash of milk on top before serving, too.
