I saw a SU30-mki in the flesh on the tarmac at the Pune Airport, gorgeous aircraft....I know aerodynamics dictates the shape these aircrafts take...and where function trumps aesthetics, but it is a stunning looking machine.

Beautiful yes!...its beautiful & very very maneuverable.... but Lethal ... ? no way!... Its 20 yrs old bird without any updates / no major upgrades. The chinese flankers have AESA radars, advance EW suits and cutting edge tech. Remember, the MKIs never challenged Pakistani F-16s on 27th Feb 2019, on record IAF officials have said they kept safe distance as they were out ranged by AMRAAMs. That's why india got Rafales. SU-30 MKIs are still very useful, especially for stand-off weapon delivery but they definitely not the most lethal flankers anymore.

The balakot issue is debatable, but the Ukraine one, yeah Russian pilots aren't what they used to be at the time of the Union, su-30 still remains one deadly flanker, but yeah, it's not invincible like something from the west like f22 or the Euro fighter

Sukhois aren't made for stealth .they are primarily meant for their maneuverability and for establishing airsuperiority . For stealth we have rafales and upcoming tejas .
