Hello Rick, soi 24 seems to have a lot of capacity to house hotel guests. The bigger they build the hotels the more they have to attract people to fill them up. I guess that helps lower prices.

This is a cool channel dude. What are the proper pedestrian streets or sidewalks that people find interesting to hang out during the day and night? When I was in Bangkok I found most sidewalks too narrow or mixed with motorbikes except Siam area . Do people hang out more in shopping malls than the street?

John jones Hello John I think you pretty much answered your own question there. During the day most people hang out in malls to get away from the heat. Otherwise they hang out at outdoor markets. Only real pedestrian area is Siam square, Khaosan road is also good for a stroll.

I never knew exactly how much was down that Soi. My friend stayed at the Hilton, we ate across at the Compass and I had one of the best pizza ever in Thailand. Mostly I was trying to avoid tripping on the sidewalks and street, dodging cars and bikes and the heat. I would have done more there if I had seen your video first.

It does seem like a soi that just goes on and on and unlike the other sois I have videoed it doesn't get progressively more "Thai" - the highrises just seem to get higher and higher the further you get from Sukhumvit road.

1st !!Not sure (if I could of course) if I would have a flat down that soi? I think if I could I would have one a little further out from the Sukhimvit area but near a BTS.

John jones Bangkok is pretty safe in general. No areas are really unsafe at night. You are more likely to get scammed or hustled than robbed.

Lol - in earlier times sure why not. But I think Google is moving more and more towards not having people do the work but machines. They only need a driver to drive their street view camera vans but soon they'll no doubt use driver-less cars for that. If they could they would also let machines make youtube videos no doubt.
