I doubled that yesterday. I never check those apps or fit bit. I used to carry mail, so I know distance by feel. I easily walked and filmed 5 miles yesterday. I'd go all day, but the heat/humidity is tough around the 3.5 hour mark. More videos to come. Thanks for watching. Joe

Thanks Danny. Yes, I'm having a little fun with the videos. About 5,000 subs are from my Baja videos. I doubt most watch anymore. I'm getting about 300 new folks a month, finding the Thailand videos. And about 80,000 views a month, so I'm heading in the right direction. Lots of Thailand content on You Tube. I'm still out exploring, so I'll bring the camera along. Hopefully some people find the videos, but I'm grateful for guys like you that watch. I realize I put out a lot of info. Usually every day, Just getting a library out there. I'll slow down at some point. Keeping me off the bar stool

I just jogged 8 laps around Benchasiri Park. Even being in the middle of a city it's incredibly peaceful and inviting, also plenty of equipment to get a full workout.
@EagerExpat Жыл бұрын
It's a nice little spot. I take a few laps around the park most times I get off the train. Bangkok has some nice parks. Thanks for watching

1:24 Yep, Mini has been owned/manufactured by BMW since the modern Mini was introduced in 2000. They share the same engines and chassis as the BMW 1-Series.
@EagerExpat Жыл бұрын
I thought so, but I'm never sure over here. I know the BMW's are an expensive import. Someone said they had a Mini plant somewhere in SE Asia, Maybe that was a rumor. Believe it or not, Harley Davidson will start making bikes in Thailand. They will only be sold in Asia, but that's a change

Moving to Phrom Phong in Feb (park origin) for the US. These PP vids have been clutch. Having Two parks near me was a must. I love playing basketball and walking at dusk. Thanks for these vids. It’s giving me peace of mind

Plenty of spots for hoops. Take that little short cut at the Marriott and you're at the court. Park Origin is nice. The units are a little smaller than the old buildings, but I love the pool. Great for laps. Send a message when you get to town. Come have a beer and meet some of the guys. I have another Soi 22 video edited. I'll move up the release to this week sometime. Here's the one I last year. You might have seen it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pGSTfGevjceekKM

Isn't there still a indoor dinosaur amusement Museum / park right about there and same side little further also a big park with water Pond and gold statue in the back? And if you keep walking you get to the shopping mnalls area and the next BTS station 😊Thank you🇺🇸
@EagerExpat Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure about the dinosaur museum, but I did show the park. Benchasiri. It has the water feature and I showed the gold statue. The Emporium shopping mall is the last thing in the video. It's on the corner of Sukhumvit at the Phrom Phong BTS station. Thanks for watching

Hi, I enjoy and learn from your walks. I'm moving to BKK in mid-October & will embark on finding a condo to rent. What's the name of your building, please? A one bed-bath at 52 sq. m. sounds great. Big thanks!
@EagerExpat Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. You can go to Hip Flat website. Set the size your looking for in meters. It will give you a rough idea of which older buildings have larger units. My building is Condo One X on Sukhumvit Soi 26. They have a 32m and a 52m 1 bedroom. Of course the 52m cost more. I got very lucky at 19,000 baht. She wanted 22,000 baht. Still, a fair price for this size. Negotiate down and see what happens. Just be prepared, in Thailand, they rarely counter offer. They want 22k, you offer 19K. They will just say no, rather than say how about 20K. But, you might get lucky too. As I look out my window, I see a few units that have been empty. Ok, best of luck. If you hit the reply button on this comment, I don't see it. Just send a fresh comment. Enjoy moving over. This is a great city

Thanks for this video Joe as I was only just looking yesterday if there was a short cut from Soi 22 through the Marriot to get to Phrom Phong. Between your videos and google maps street view I am basically knowing my way around even before I get there. Have you ever eaten at the Rung Rueang Pork Noodle shop on Soi 26? I saw it on google maps and saw how many reviews it has (5,700) and that it must be a place to try. Regards Mark
@EagerExpat Жыл бұрын
Glad the short cut helped. Yes, I've ate there a few times. Someone told me the noodle shop is a family feud. They had two locations side by side. About a week ago a third shop opened across the street. I doubt it's on Google Maps yet. It's next door to the 7/11. All branches are packed from 7am until closing around 5pm. You'll have to check it out. Thanks for watching Mark

You don't need to go through the Marriott Garage for the shortcut to Soi 22. There's a park gate with a guard. Breeze through, walk through the lobby, and you are on Soi22.
@EagerExpatАй бұрын
The park closes at 10pm. The side entrance I showed is 24 hours. But, they will both get the job done.

@EagerExpat Жыл бұрын
No I stayed on Soi 24 this time. I've showed it maybe six times in other videos. Just stay to the left of the Hilton and walk to the back. You'll be at the back patio of the Doubletree dining room. A short walk through the Doubletree and you'll be on Soi 26 at the Queen Bee music spot. Thanks for watching

to get a motor bike......do people just wave them down or do you have to call for one??????
@EagerExpat5 ай бұрын
There are moto stands at the top of the street. These guys just go up and down. Usually for 10b or 20b. Depends how long the street is. I always us Grab/Bolt app. If you waive a guy down you need to know the price. Grab might be 40b. If you waive down, they might say 100b.

Bit of weird request. But I'm guessing food poisoning is somewhat normal when living in new places, I know it is for me with new cuisines etc. Are there any products or medicines I should look out for? Last time I came to BKK I had it twice and it was horrendous both times.

I have a very strong stomach. I've ate street food for 40 years. Never got sick. I got sick at a taco shop in San Diego, but never overseas. I do carry some anti-biotics my doc gave me. I'm sure they're expired, but I keep the pills around. I'm not sure what you would take over here. There are a bunch of small clinics in my area. I'm sure for less than $30 you could see the doc and get some pills. Knock on wood, I haven't got sick yet. I'm writing eating my chicken I just got on the street BBQ
