Suki and the Kyoshi warriors are the best thing that happened to the quite frankly lacklustre Netflix live-action adaptation. But even so I have to say I absolutely HATE the make-up. It's supposed to be inspired by Chinese opera, graceful and elegant. Instead, what we got was beyond horrendous.

What's the point of firebenders doing bending if it's only in melee range? Against superior melee fighters, that seems like a redundant plan. The CGI and costumes are excellent for what you'd expect, but I can't help but join the bandwagon in agreeing that the changed writing and direction missed the mark still. Still not as bad as the movie-that-shall-not-be-named

Aang is just a child. Of course he sees all in black and white, like we all did in our youth. The Avatar is supposed to have years of training in each of the four nations. He would have learned from the philosophies of each culture. If Aang really had time to do that, he would have come out with a different take on life than his upbringing as an Air Nomad.
