The colours are so sad.. there's a lot of black. On first episodes, all the places in palace were light with intense colours, yellow, red, green etc. A lot of movement around.. now everything has calmed, the palace has been through a lot. Each season the colours get darker. After valide sultan passes in episode 134, there won't be colors anymore.

I noticed that too, it shows how so much power can bring just pain and hurt in your family if you don't know how to manage it. Suleiman could have stopped it at the very begining but he had better things to do. Hurrem had to fight for their happiness and children and also protected Suleiman from his own family a lot of times.

I loved the fact that Suleiman knew that someone would have to take the throne and to protect Hurrem from the pain of losing another son he waited for her to... die peacefully so that could be done. I understand the fact now that in 1500 people were much ancient and would have their "laws" that way. I am glad that's not the case now.

I don't think there was anything they could do. The lump forming on her shoulder could indicate that her illness was some kind of cancer which they had no cures for back then. Even today we are barely scratching the surface on finding cures for cancer that doesn't involve chemo.
