There are different opinions about this matter. Some scholars say haram and other say halal. So you should avoid saying ''sin'' directly.

Some scholars thought about music and said ''it's halal'', because they thought the prophet meant something else by his hadith and other scholars said it's haraam because they didn't think prophet meant something else.
