In this series, Iskender was the most pitiful. He did not get anything back after giving so much. He lost his family and came back to serve “the family” who wanted him dead. His mom was the devil The love of his like never loved him back, in fact, she killed him twice! And he never got the throne. I’m so sad for his character.

Iskender was a fictional character created for the drama, inspired by Count Alexander of Montenegro, who claimed himself as a prince of Ottoman empire and a son of Sultan Murad III. Real history was totally different from the drama, all the information about him being a prince were self-claimed, some source even said he's a fraud. He never went to Constantinople to become a Janissary like in the drama, in fact he made frequent trips to northern and western Europe to gain support for his claim to the throne, and he died during his involvement in a rebellion in Montenegrin, as an Orthodox Christian.

Sultan Ahmed compared to his son Sultan Murad is much better and merciful too. if it was his son, Iskender wouldn't have survived though he died anyway later. he would be put to death right away.

@@sadafrafiq5006 his army won only bagdad and lost 120 kilometres into viena which ahmed had won, morocco austrian and yeme territories. after he won bagdad he forced historians to write good things about him if he didnt win bagdad then we would see him as one of the weak leaders. moreover he ordered execution of mustafa and ibrahim after killing suleman bayezid and kasim, if he had succeded he would have been that traitor who ended ottoman empire. but Allah didn;t let his evil plans into reality and let him live in our hearts as hero
