Thanks Suman ji, for uploading another rare live recording of Jagjit ji along with this exclusive photo of these two legends...Jagjit Singh and Bhupender Singh! What a marvelous synchronization of the dhuaa.n in the poetry with the cigarette smoke in the picture. It is as if you are comparing the dil jalna of smoking with that of the jalte ghar se.....in the lyrics of this ghazal . I must say, you are a true artist yourself. Kudos to you for posting such rare visuals in your uploads! I have heard Chitra Singh's version of this very heart rending ghazal, but hearing this live performance of Jagjit ji for the first time ! The very despondent lyrics of this poetry, sung by JS, with such pathos, touches the inner core ....Dhuaa.n uttha thaa, deewaane ke, jalte ghar se saari raat . Lekin wo khaamosh rahe duniyaa.n ke darr se...... Raat yuu.n jalte, dil par terii yaado.n kee barsaat huyi ....Jaise ik pyaase kee chita par, barkha barse saari raat ! With his charismatic style of singing, he could create an ambience to suit the mood of the ghazal ! His expertise and singing prowess is visible in this private mehfil ! Beautiful expression of the grief and the agitated mind of the poet by JS, in his sorrowful voice, elevating the spirit of the poetry penned by Shameem Shahabadi saheb ! Masterpiece in the Masters voice ! His hauntingly beautiful voice lingers in your memory ! Pure brilliance in lyrics, vocal and music ! Thankful to Parekh sb, for sharing this classic masterpiece and to you for uploading it ! My heart felt appreciation and good wishes ! 👍💐🙏
