Excellent tutorial. I have the evolution r210 which was slightly different to this one but all the principles remained the same. Top work and thank you

Mine did not come well calibrated, and so your demonstration of the gap was useful.

I have this exact saw and haven’t used it for a while, when I did make a cut I thought it was ok but on checking the wood with a square it was way off. But Ive forgotten how to calibrate it. I believe I must of bumped it somehow and knocked the calibration out. This video refreshed my memory on how to calibrate, thank you it was a great help.

great video! Unfortunately it's missing the part about calibrating the "horizontal" pivoting of the saw, don't know if I'm making myself clear (the one you unlock via the orange knob and the orange lever that are close to your body when you cut). Perhaps you could add that part? Thanks a lot :)

Woops! My bad, I'll add it to the list :D

Thank you for sharing the calibration with us. I believe *_Our World_* is a *_Shared Experience_* ... I am thinking to get one like this for a while. I got their RAGE -5 Table Saw and the FURY 6 Combo but it get a bit awkward to cut as you can do with this. Anyways, I am waiting to get my workshop (AKA Shed) done as the present one is kinda small for me especially with my wheelchair. These are handy to cut things so easily and safely, so you got the idea. Anyways, Remember *_Life_* is *_Short_* so *_Live Long_* and *_Prosper_* 🖖 Look after yourself and each other & Stay Safe. Absolutely incredible video for a newbie like me who just bought my R255SMS-DB. I'm in Canada. I'm curious, you are referring to using a 'hex key' to make some adjustments. Yet in North America they call what I saw in the images Torx or Star. To us, a hex key is aka allen, and we also refer to it as a hex key. ie, the tool that comes with the machine for most adjustments we refer to as an allen key or hex key. Is it different in the UK my friend?
@sumeraybuildsАй бұрын
No you're right, it's just an allen key hold. Not sure what I was thinking when I recorded this 😂

I recently bought this saw, calibrated as per video (very helpful indeed as mine required a fair bit of adjustment) but noticed that there is a small play at 0 degree positive stop before tightening the orange knob, what do I do?
@sumeraybuilds7 ай бұрын
I haven't encountered that issue. But in this instance I would suggest contacting Evolution.

Nice video. Aren't the two sides of the fence a solid cast piece of metal though? When i run a straight edge across mine i can see it's slightly V shaped and i assumed that wouldn't be adjustable as i thought it was a single piece.

I don’t actually have this mitre saw anymore, I updated to their cordless version. So I can’t remember exactly, but this video is everything you need to do to make sure it’s set up correctly 😎

Great tutorial. My saw's table isnt true across the rotating portion and the two fixed sides. It appears that the rotating part is a tad up on the left side. I couldnt find any adjustments for it so I settled on putting 2 layers of duct tape on the left fixed side.

Thank you again for sharing the adjustment process as it is priceless. I got a question about these Mitre Saw. When shopping online, I keep seeing R255SMS DB+ and R255SMS DB-… can you tell me the difference between those two numbers, please? Thank you in Advance…
@sumeraybuilds8 ай бұрын
So there's a R255SMS and a R255SMS-DB (R255SMS DB+ is the same). Basically the difference is the R255SMS DB allows you to bevel the saws angle boths ways. Instead of just to the right.

@@sumeraybuilds Much appreciated! I hope I had the opportunity to have a look at your Shed/workshop you made! It sounds like we live not that far as I live in Beccles, Suffolk. Being Disabled, I would like to have a solid ground instead of a wooden floor. I am investing to get one build but I do not think, it will be any close to yours... You take care matey! I shall look forward to watch more videos from you, as many of us do. Look after yourself and each other & Stay Safe.
