I wonder how well that would work with just spray foam because all that grees I'm sure helped with the clean up

Are you able to do like an embossing effect where the laser cuts all around where you want your image?

Very good, but what is the advantage of having this zero clearance if not to condemn any possibility of cutting at 45 degrees?

I recently bought this saw, calibrated as per video (very helpful indeed as mine required a fair bit of adjustment) but noticed that there is a small play at 0 degree positive stop before tightening the orange knob, what do I do?

Yes, but it'll be expensive given how thick yorkshire stones are!

Is this method good for a seldomly used gravel path too, or should a MOT 1 Sub base still be laid?
@sumeraybuilds15 сағат бұрын
Yes this will be great for that. It depends what your soil is like underneath. If it's hard then don't worry, if it's soft then you'll want MOT.

New subscriber here, playing catch up and enjoying the videos! I put a rubber roof on my shed a couple of years ago and it's doing well, glad you found the process as straight forward as I did. I have a question, as I about to build another, much smaller shed (3'x4") - is there any reason why you wouldn't go for a metal sheet roof over rubber? Metal sheets seem to be much cheaper than rubber, and probably last as long. I'd be interested your thoughts :)
@sumeraybuilds15 сағат бұрын
Personally, I think you'd have less problems with rubber in the long run given that there's no holes to drill fixing to. However, I'm not a roofer and have never installed a metal roof... If it's just a small shed then the juice might not be worth the squeeze 😂

I have this saw and have found that it carries best on the side handle with the table close to your body, not the legs. Weight balance is better, avoids the issue you experienced and protects the top from knocks too.

Does this saw take a dado stack and how wide a dado? Also if you raise the blade to do a rabbet does the blade stay at that height Thru the whole cut?
@thefirsted4 күн бұрын
It looks like an evolution of the Metabo HPT saw of which I use an offshoot of. That sliding bit of the table looks very enticing if it's done well and the tracks don't clog with sawdust. Also the miter adjustment knob if it's like the one on mine isn't so nice as the locking mechanism can throw off any micro adjustment you make. I'd like to check it out here in Canada but it's doubtful I'll get the chance.
@sumeraybuilds3 күн бұрын
So far the sliding panel hasn't clogged up, it's going strong. I've used it a lot during my workshop build as am so far very impressed by it!

I own mwkee. And got evol 225 single bevel mitre, dust extr and mitre table. Minus in dust extractor when small particle its clogs up quickly. I mean to quickly. Saw horse just to heavy. And mitre saw is atrocious. Bevel handle had to cut down as stuck on tight. Straight cut never was straight as fences total wank up😅. No chance to do 45 on bevel. I’ve watched all your vid and seen you moved fence. Did they improved them some how, so you don’t need calibration after? If its like a like then its no go at all. Great vid btw.

1 minute into the video and credibility is gone... you don't know what a riving knife is for....
@sumeraybuilds5 күн бұрын
What do you think it’s for?
@JW-rd1bk5 күн бұрын
It’s to prevent wood from twisting or pinching on the back side of the blade which would cause it to ride up the blade and kick back at you. Not just small offcuts, but some rather large ones too
@PygexКүн бұрын
To greatly reduce the risk of kick back which is caused by slightly tilting the work piece causing the rising teeth on the back to fling the piece back at you with a huge force. The thing that prevents small things being flung at you is a zero-clearance insert. The raving knife on this one is not that optimal because you can't make dados while having it on (it's longer than the blade). The saw I have has two raving knives, one with the guard and one without which matches the height of the blades.
@DawidhabdArup_N76 күн бұрын
Thank you again for sharing the adjustment process as it is priceless. I got a question about these Mitre Saw. When shopping online, I keep seeing R255SMS DB+ and R255SMS DB-… can you tell me the difference between those two numbers, please? Thank you in Advance…
@sumeraybuilds3 күн бұрын
So there's a R255SMS and a R255SMS-DB (R255SMS DB+ is the same). Basically the difference is the R255SMS DB allows you to bevel the saws angle boths ways. Instead of just to the right.

@@sumeraybuilds Much appreciated! I hope I had the opportunity to have a look at your Shed/workshop you made! It sounds like we live not that far as I live in Beccles, Suffolk. I shall look forward to watch more videos from you, as many of us do. Look after yourself and each other & Stay Safe. Notice in the push stick demo he doesn’t continue to push on the wood after it hits the blade? It’s not mentioned, but it’s important! The three directions of pressure stop as soon as that part of the wood begins to split. Pushing it toward the *blade* is a good way to damage your blade or, worse, get kickback. Also, don’t be scared. Just go slow and *know where your hands are at all times* and you’ll do fine. The info is overwhelming but it comes together when you start. The hobby is as satisfying as you think it will be! ❤❤ Happy making to all of us safety nerds!
