7 years later, I pre-ordered this album and I don't regret it. I don't care what anyone says. This album kicks ass from start to finish. I may listen to technical death metal and prog now but I don't hate this album really. James is a BEAST drummer and Danny's vocals were always on point. I may not listen to or like this band anymore but this album is not bad at all. I don't know how people look at this band in the same manner that people look at bands like ADTR, PIerce the Veil or Falling In Reverse. They're so whiny and annoying and cheesy. This band may have its gimmicks and I guess you could say I'm biased since they were the first metalcore band I ever listened to but I'll be damned if someone actually think these drums, riffs, and vocals are bad. Top notch shit. It's no wonder they rose to the top.
@Ozhaawashko6 жыл бұрын
Agreed 100%. I find myself coming back to this album years later as well. I've always stuck to this band, and I agree that they've had their cringy moments, but not nearly as bad as some of the other bands. I feel this album was ahead of its time.

@hitthefieldpt8 жыл бұрын
Ian Freitas You're actually incorrect. Ben wrote SUAS. Danny wrote the majority of R&R by himself and he completely wrote all of the lyrics to FDTD. Ben was lead song writer on The Black (and it sucked) and he wrote the majority of SUAS before AA went into the studio to record it in late 2008 - early 2009. These are facts that have been told by both Danny AND Ben

Who cares what you call it? As Duke Ellington said (look him up if you are clueless) "There are only two kinds of music...good and bad." Definitions are for the small minded. As soon as you "label" a band or entire style of music you do it all a huge disservice. So..we have solid playing, solid songwriting and solid production. Hum...sounds like the "good" category to me.

Danny can still scream, he just chooses not to. He’s uploaded videos on social media of him screaming. Same with Oliver of Bring Me The Horizon. It’s dumb to assume a vocalist can’t scream anymore. It’s not something they forget how to do lol. Even if they damaged their throat from bad technique or no technique in the past, they can get their voice to being healthy again.
