The three-round burst gun thing is because 25 rounds is the max you can have before the taper of the brass necessities a curved magazine, which leads to complications in storage and transportation. Thus, the standard military issue was 25 rds

The FAMAS doesn't "shoot 3 bullets at once" but rather has a 3-round burst, which is like just a stunted full-auto where one trigger pull fires 3 bullets as if you held it down in full auto for 3. The ammo they used was their own produced 5.56x45mm with specific tolerances due to overpressure being an issue, but like the image said, they decided to use a magazine size not divisible by 3. There may be some confusion with the HK G11 rifle, which used proprietary caseless ammunition which could fire 3 shots in a burst so quickly all three projectiles left the gun before recoil was felt. The G11 was German, though. I can see why some may get them confused as they both have kind of that 80's futuristic vibe to them. Also fun fact, the French navy reworked the FAMAS to accept NATO standard 30 round magazines as well as standard NATO 5.56x45mm.
