I have the Wowgo S2 and could not be more happy. My GF and me ride every day... had them now about 1yr. We live in San Diego, Calif. We have the basic level batteries and get about 8 to 8.5 miles max range. We live in a hilly area mixed with beach flat area. We have not had 1 single problem with our Wowgo boards. love them.

I have the Ownboard w2 which is its high end board that’s not the off-road one. Super fast. I’m a super light rider (105 lbs) and I go 28 mph with the smaller size wheels. It’s top speed with those wheels is supposed to be 25 mph. It’s got a lot of torque and is totally worth it

Basically on this price point look for these factors: 1. DECK what kind of deck do you want for your electric board or does it matter are you going to deck swap to better one? 2. Esc most of them use hobbywing and its the best one in my opinion. 3. Batteries? what cells do they use and are you willing to pay more for sanyo or 30Q battery packs? 4. PRICE when you have picked the battery, esc and deck you like choose the board you can get cheapest as the parts are mostly all the same in every board its kinda pointless to think which board is most reliable.

Idk if the quality has improved since I purchased my Meepo 1.5 about 16 months ago, but I did not have a good experience with reliability. It was great when it was working, but it broke far too often. The deck broke first (they replaced it), then the ESC, then a hub, and then another hub (after I replaced the first). It's currently sitting in my garage unused for a few months because I can't be bothered to put any more time or money into it when it breaks so often.

DO NOT buy a yeeplay board. i purchased the AX and the hub motor was attached to the wheels by glue. One of motors was broken when i received which resulted in it getting so hot that it melted the glue (and burnt my wrist) and the wheel came off mid ride which made me fall and injured me. i contacted yeeplay about this and they said they would send me glue .... that was in over two months ago and i haven't heard from them since

Hey, don't worry about that. $599 tier of G2T, NLS, Exway X1, Wowgo 3s are definitely worth the price if compare to $400. Better quality parts, bigger battery, more wheel option(for some) and better control (except NLS).

I have the Ownboard w2 which cost me 600 bucks while it was on sale and it’s amazing. Just today I went the top speed 25 mph but I weigh only 100 lbs so when I looked at the remote I was doing 28. Super fast kinda scary but worth it

I am in the process of reviewing Apsuboard right now. After that, I actually am more interested in Ownboard W2 than Vesterboard thou. First impression of Apsu, the ESC is subpar when it comes to the braking. Accelerations are pretty smooth. The other parts of the boards are pretty good, haven't did a full range test yet. Again, I don't have a well formulated opinion yet but if you are those who emphasis on complete smoothness of control, APSU is not for you.

Snolax Ph I just received the Vestar V2 a few weeks ago and love it! They now have belt tension and break strength options and with the $200 off discount I don’t think you can beat it right now. Meaning it’s only around 500-600 depending on battery option. The Ownboard looks very nice as well, but almost identical, and just came out (like to wait for a new board to be out for a few months to work out any kinks). Also, $200 more.. hope this helps.

I'd love to rock the Meepo Classic, but as a rider on the higer side of the weight limit its jackass. without dropping cash for the AWD I'm thinking the V3 is going to rule the roost. 30amp draw on that new ESC for $429? its aaaalmost a no-brainer. =)

I have the meepo nls and I'm around 230lb. The board gets me over 10 miles if I'm going for distance, about 8 if I'm not trying. I live on top of a hill in a hilly area and it does great. Had it at 30mph down a hill. 23mph on flat trail. It was $500, $700 with additional battery. Worth every penny.

Nope i have the 30inch and it has great clearance. And the wheels will run over some pretty large rocks if u dont have time to go around them. You will get scrapes on the trucks here and there but the board is REALLY durable. Its easilly one of the best things ive ever purchased

There isint 'the best board', it all comes down to where you live, what are the roads like, what you are going to use it for and so on. I got the backboard G3 and its amazing. I'd say the backfire g2t or g2 are the jack of all trades, but its really up to you

Never tried Wowgo 3, can't comment. Will be testing out City Rider maybe in a weeks time, and I will definitely do a YT review for it (just gimme few months time XD, I'm joking, hopefully..). The drop-through deck on the classic is really good. Feels good, looks good, smells good. Handles vibration well, the concave is comfortable, and the rocker shape just cradles your feet when you stand on it, so nice. It's better than the deck on Backfire G2T, I love it better even than the fun flexy bamboo deck on the NLS.

Wish I would have paid more attention before I bought a Koowheel, got the wrong board sent me, took a month to get a reply from the company and they wanted me to mail it back to China and pay a restocking fee.. I wasnt going to take a loss when then they messed up, now I’m stuck with a log on wheels. I’ve changed bushings and bearings ect. everything to try and loosen it up and nothing worked. I bought my son a backfire and it actually feels like a long board. Don’t buy a koowheel. Just wanted to toss this Chinese board in there because you skipped it.

400 euros is not a great budget for any board for reliable travel. The best performing board you mentioned would be the backfire g2t, but Turbo mode is a gimmick, the stiffer deck gets uncomfortable, and the Wowgo 3 came out recently too. After riding some quality boards with fantastic ESCs, you definitely don't want binary ESCs used in the meepo v2 and v3. It's not aggressive, rather it's imprecise and desynchronized from the way you throttle and brake, which can be life-threatening. If you can save up some more money, get the ownboard w2 with 90mm wheels. Living in San Francisco with ripped pavement and steep hills, any wheel less than 90mm is uncomfortable and belt drives offer increased torque needed to climb hills and the options for softer, fuller urethane wheels.

I owned a skatebolt tornado for about 3 years. That board is an absolute tank and for the price its an awesome purchase. I've rode it off curbs, through puddles, down stairs and off road and never had a single problem. I have to say though, just a few weeks ago my battery on it took its final charge and it no longer works but i can't complain because i got 3 years out of it while barely giving it any maintenance. Their customer service is awesome too. I could have ordered another battery but you have to take apart the whole deck to replace it so I switched over to the Meepo v3 because the meepo battery can be replaced within minutes

Can anybody comment on the ownboard kt v1.0 or the leaf plus? I really like the ownboard but I have seen negative reviews about the quality and then breaking down pretty easily. I am looking for something to use locally and each time I use it would probably be no more than a mile or two....... I have never owned one before and I don't want to invest the money in something dead in six months is just going to be giving me problems.... I know a lot of people are saying the meepo classic is a beast when I would like to keep the comments to the two I mentioned if possible

You want a budget shortboard? Get Meepo Mini 2. I've yet to start trusting the Leaf Plus as Leafboard is a company that has a pretty dark history with the original Leafboard. They seem to right the ship with Leafboard Plus but I would like to observe them a few more months before putting them back into recommendation list. Leafboard Plus is using belt drive, and is using Li-Po battery. Li-Po battery has shorter life cycle and are more difficult to maintain. My suggestion is Ownboard KT if you have to choose from those 2.

rst yo meepo released the v3 and it’s quite good on taking on hills I have gotten to ride it and it comes with a nice remote and extra bushings also the esc is nice too Also the wheels are also quite big too making better for little bumps and cracks

rst I would it’s very nice and also the riding is nice and what I mean by that is that if you go down a hill u don’t need to waste battery because it rolls very well like a normal longboard and it’s on the quite side
