Summary and review of Alain Badiou's book "Wittgenstein's Antiphilosophy". Based on a series of lectures delivered by Badiou, this book explores the importance of the work of the "antiphilosophers" in Wittgensteinn's work, and how their impact on the development of his thought is sometimes overlooked in comparison to his influences and contributions in analytic philosophy. Figures such as Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, and Dostoevsky, all in some way attacked philosophy as being incapable of grasping the most important aspects of existence - in true existential fashion - and Wittgenstein's turn to the mystical in his Tractatus-Logico-Philosophicus, Badiou argues, reflects this.
