i love how these are basically 2010s fashion trends but redone in a sleeker way to fit the vibe of 2024, like u cannot tell me that the chunky beads aren’t the 2024 equivalent to 2010 statement necklaces !!

it makes sense bc (early) 2010s had really ugly clothes compared to any other decade, and most spring/summer 2024 trends are hideous

haven't seen anyone comment this yet but i think it's important to mention - the 'grandma house slippers' are actually chinese slippers (but are also called chanclas !) they're a westernised version of traditional footwear that are massed produced. even so i recommend to buy locally and not from larger businesses selling overpriced, gentrified versions (just so you don't get ripped off lol) they're so cute and i can't wait to see more people wearing them !

OBS! A warning to anyone intending to put pins/badges on their leather goods. Real leather and even faux leather are (or are made to mimic) skin. Which means that any hole you create in said leather is permament, you wont be able to rubb it away later or fix it. Leather is not a weaved fabric which can be mended by manipulating the fibers, its dead skin or plastic. The closest "mend" your gonna get is waxing the leather and hoping the hole becomes less noticable. Be 100% sure you dont wanna remove the pins later or pick pins you abosultly love before you potentially wreck your leather goods. Yours, A girly who learned this shit the hard way. P.S. The same goes for tape or any type glue, that will permenatly stick to real leather and ruin its finish/stain.

My favorite trend this summer has been bloomer shorts! I DIYd some from a thrifted F21 gingham pair and they are one of my fav clothing items now. I also LOVE babydoll silhouettes: dresses, camis, sweaters. So so cute. I hate summer, its the hardest season for me, but playing with fashion really has helped a little bit
