Days with my stepsister is my favourite anime of the season alongside Oshi no Ko. Knowing your taste and how you like to get into character analysis it's a show that would be perfect for you. The lofi vibes of the whole thing is completely unique and different from any other anime I've seen (and I've seen 600+). Makeine and Shoushimin are really good as well.

If you are not watching Elusive Samurai you are missing out. The animation in this anime is insane. Especially episode 6. Before 6th episode of Elusive Samurai, Vtuber legend was my favourite but right now I can't decide between Oshinoko and Elusive Samurai. As for people saying it's slow. These are people who consider normal tempo to be isekai where protagonist dies, reincarnates and is strongest in the world 15yo by the 5th minute of first episode Complaining that it's slow is like complaining that someone baking bread put it in the oven for however long recipe said instead of multiplying time by number of degrees and puting it for 1 minute in like a ten thousand degrees. If this is slow then so is mushoku tensei and frieren and apothecary diaries. And yes I'm making this comparison also for quality this anime shown so far. I know there is no story that is for everyone but I just love style this anime is showing. Everything is exaggerated like it was some folk story based on reality but because surviving on the word of mouth some feats were inflated into inhuman shows of strength and ability. Visuals reflect that by showing sometimes completely abstract visions or showing things in a way that transmits feeling instead of an action. I mean "it doesn't need to look realistic if it feels how it's suppose to" type of approach. The most valid complaint I could think of would be how fast this anime flips between heavy and light scenes. It doesn't bother me personally and I even quite like they way they do it but I can see how some people may not like this anime flipping from bloody massacre to some joke scene in like 10 seconds. This anime is both hilarious and gruesome and despite mixing it pretty heavily it doesn't feel like one gets in the way of the other but instead funny scene before gruesome increases it's shock value and after it calms you down and gives relief.

Man, I really have to catch up with all the seasonal anime. Currently spending my time rewatching Keroro Gunso, one of my childhood anime which has 340+ episodes. Man there are too much to watch!!! Makeine is just sooooo fun to watch, which I really didn't expect. Days with My Step Sister I'm only at ep 3, but as Garnt said, it just seems to have so much depth in comparison to a regular "incest" anime. I'm still trying to find the right mood to continue because man, does it moody at times.

Well, to be fair, Yuki is not my sister 7w7 And also, we all know if the author didn't fear success, Yuki would have a harem including Masachika and Alya lol
