I haven't had a chance to read as of late. I've been dealing with some things in my family that must come first. I could really use a good read about now. Looking forward to taking a moment to read, even if it's a few pages. I can hardly wait to read Librarians and Dragons.

I never heard of hob nobs. We found a Canadian cookie in a local shop. It’s a filled cookie with real maple syrup. All natural ingredients. Love your take on books!

The Apple Rooiboos tea and Glute free Hobnobs sound yummy. I try to stick to gluten-free per my dr due to IBS. Transportation Soup sounds like a book that I definitely need to read. I can tell that Dolly really touches and resonates with you. So far, I'm reading a book that my friend, Lo Meyer wrote, called the Gail. The other, which I've finished, is by Eddie Jaku, called The Happiest Man on Earth. Excellent. Thanks for sharing your books with us. Have a peaceful day. Hugs. 🫂💕🫶

Thanks for sharing what you are reading, and yes I have a strong connection to Doli, I really saw myself in her character and how she tried to navigate her life.

Hello Eryykc. Plain HobNobs are made in Glasgow, Scotland, and the chocolate ones are made in London, England. Thank you for sharing your summer reads. I'm currently reading a mix, too. In fact, most are re-reads. A history of solitude. By David VINCENT. Quiet. By Susan CAIN. Wintering. By Katherine May. The awakened brain. By Lisa Miller.

I've been reading The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. I'm enjoying it so far about 30% of the way through. It's a bit light on plot and character development but the descriptions shine. The night circus itself is both a place and a character in the book.

Hi Eryykc! Gluten free hob nobs, who knew!.? Definitely British, we do love a biscuit❤️. The Penney book sounds amazing! Perhaps you could do a video on all of us stating a wished for super power. I’m considering re reading the Enid Blyton, famous 5 books, from my childhood days! Xx❤

Nice! Speaking of wished for superpowers, I tried to write a superhero type story and got stuck, the main character was too derivative, the origin was unique, but the end result was a copy of an existing character. Novels are super hard for me to write, the story is too big. When I find the motivation (dopamine) I hope to rewrite the main character and try writing the story from a different angle.

I like your varied book list. I am not reading anything at the moment, but I want to hop into B&N to "interview" and hopefully "hire", The Turnglass by Garett Rubin. 😉I've always been a monogamous reader. I tend to get fixated by a book and unable to look at another until it's done. You've piqued my interest with that Wingfeather Tales. 😉Thank you. ❤

Hi Eryykc, I also read several books at once. Currently reading Ladder to the Light (an indigenous Elder’s meditations on hope and courage), my Daily Stoic book always! More Encounters with Star People (ufo encounters) and Hold Tight (psychological thriller) and Words from my Brain vol. 1) I’m fickle with books so it helps to read different types at once🍃💕🌼 oh, also working thru The Anxiety and phobia Workbook. Then I want to start The Self Compassion Workbook you recommended 😃

It has been a while since I read anything. I can't seem to focus on it. Maybe I just have too many other things occupying my brain. But I have a stack of 12 or so books that are waiting for me. Maybe that will have to wait for winter with my quilt & a cup of cocoa!

Sometimes life has to slow us down so we can rest and enjoy a book. When the brain is moving too fast it can be hard to settle down

I just finished Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt - read it one day, just couldn't put it down. Next up: Transformation Soup (Sark) and The Forgotten Beasts of Eld (Patricia McKillip). I checked out The Tao of Pooh but the copy I found was so musty it made me sneeze. Hoping to find a better copy someday 🙏

I love to read and have not read in a while or written anything. I want to get back to it. I am overwhelmed with all the attention I am getting even though it is positive. Maybe reading and writing is what I need, but that feels like attention. I'm sure I will get used to it.

Can you "see" the stories as you are reading them? I ask because I rarely read fiction for that reason, I can't "see" the story and lose interest. I read tons, just not fiction🙂
@Eryykc
@Eryykc Ай бұрын
When I am really absorbed in a book, yes, I can see what I’m reading, I have a very vivid imagination which helps. I have cheered out loud, cried, yelled in anger,and other emotions while reading. I can get really into a story.
