“selfish” was my narcissistic mother’s pet name for me. she’s been dead for 6 years and I haven’t missed her for 1 minute. in a weird synchronistic way my narcissistic boyfriend left me not long after her death. (I was trained to serve narcissists, dad is one too) good riddance. now I’ve adopted what I call my NO CO lifestyle. NO COoperation, NO COmpliance, NO COmpromise, NO COmplaining.

Bless you Sweet Soul Sadly children believe that everything that comes from their parents has to be true and how it should be, they are learned behaviours. We can break them when we come to understand that we aren't who they say we are and we open to finding and being who we really are. Good for you to learn to say No to others and Yes to yourself and I hope that you are happy. Namaste

Excellent video, My relationship of 5 years ended a month ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her

Bless you Sweet Soul It is so very difficult to loose someone you love, especially if they are still around. We all grow and change, it is not always at the same pace or in the same direction. That can mean we have to make very difficult decisions that can hurt others but we have to be true to ourselves. Love her enough to give her space and love yourself enough to open your life up to new experiences without her. Let yourself move on and if she ever chooses to come back, you will both have experiences and new perspectives to bring to it. We are all one but we are also unique individuals. Let her be true to her and you be true to you. Light, Love & Peace 🙏Namaste Sara

Interesting that this popped up in my feed tonight. I was raised in a violent narcissist home, physically abused, emotionally too, born in 1952. LOTS of us born in that time. Born to a 19 yr old abused mother, 22 yr old selfish father 'shotgun' style. My childhood was a war zone until he left when I was 11 yrs old. I left home at 16 yrs and by the grace of God, grew into a strong, independent woman. Now I'm 72 yrs old, married 45 years to my husband a good man but strong narc tendencies. These days I am a born again Christian woman and I hear Gods voice often. I'm one of the 'chosen', a warrior of sorts for this time at the End of this age. And no I am not selfish at all. Never was. Thank you for the clarifying definition of 'selfish' and self determination. God bless. 🙏✝️💕

Michael I do understand what you are saying and I had to accept that there were those that were no longer "right" to be in my life, that friends "left" and to a certain degree conflicts with family. However, for me it has all been worth it, my life has changed, I am my own person and so much happier for it. Family came around and I have an amazing group of friends. When others see your kindness as a weakness not your strength.
@SaraJane-Vocal-Reiki16 күн бұрын
@@ritahemmerly4224 Bless you Sweet Soul It is important to know yourself and where that "kindness" is coming from. If you are being "kind" because you are a people pleaser (which is a trauma response), then perhaps your kindness is misplaced. It is important to be kind to yourself and not everything that is "kind" can feel it to the other person - a No, can be the greatest gift anyone can hear but may not feel it at the time. Bless you Sweet Soul Thank you for sharing and my thoughts are, if this person isn't good for you as they are being, therefore unless they are willing to change (and they have to be true to themselves), you are better off without them. When we create boundaries to protect ourselves, it is only those who wish to be disrespectful of them that don't like them. Be true to you, take care, of you, show the Universe that you care about yourself and it will show you real care in return. What you are prepared to put up with, it will keep bringing to you. Go for it, stand up for yourself, it may feel uncomfortable to begin with but it will become easier and I believe you will be much happier. 🙏Namaste

You are a beautiful gift to the world and if you choose, can be a great support for those of a similar age who may not choose to listen to older people. A thought has come to me and others, it is not so much about what happened but the feelings it caused within us, feelings of being unloved, unwanted, unworthy, not good enough etc. For me it is about supporting people to know that they are Special in there own unique way, that no one is more or less special than anyone else. You are totally right about us loving ourselves first and foremost, setting boundaries and not accepting any form of disrespect or control. Enjoy the journey to you Blessings Sweet One 🙏Namaste

I can be extremely mean and manipulative, and I'm told I'm very good at it, but all that sardonic anger, in my head, is reserved for the people who really deserve it. It goes to people who have long established themselves as extremely predatory, but think that they can just hide in plain sight, and get away with whatever they want indefinitely. I outwit them and make them fall for their own traps. We've all known a few. Otherwise, I strive not to hurt anyone. Sorry this comment sounds so "all about me", I just wanted to make the point that evil people should be made to know that they aren't invincible.

Bless you Sweet Soul Our life is meant to be about us, not anyone else. It is very difficult to find a balance in life of staying out of judgement, setting boundaries and should we be the one to call people out on the "bad" stuff. Some people are energy vampires, when we learn to stop reacting when they try pushing our buttons, they will eventually give up. I have always said, if I have proof of a wrong doing (rape, murder, abuse etc) I will go to the authorities. We all make our life choices before we get here and if we are on the wrong side of the law, we will also have accepted the consequences to our actions. Reporting them is part of our journey and theirs. We all have the ability to be "hard", "devious", "manipulative" etc, some just make it the major part of their life, rather then when it is potentially called for. Always be true to you. 🙏Namaste

Darn straight Ms J.. and yet there is just a smidgin of selfishness present in there somewhere if you look hard enough and it’s there mainly just to add a little flair and flavour to the mix… I’m all about self… wouldn’t be me without it now would i hahahah… uhh uhh that does kinda make sense I think… me without self’ hmmmmm yep.. it works… anyways where was I… oh yeh.. see them narcs and socios don’t really like me all that much because I see straight through them every time and I call em out on their shady salty ways… I mean it’s extremely difficult to manipulate me… making me think I need you in some way is not gonna wash with me… I need no one but myself and the creator… I’m not a person who gets attached easy or who forms attachments to anyone or anything but it seems a lot of individuals I come across in life want to feel needed and want me to be needy of them… they feel threatened by my self independence and self assurance.. Its the mostly insecure individual that will resort to manipulation tactics and or strategies to mess with your head and they’ll succeed at manipulating only if you allow then to… ppl only do and get away with what you allow them to do and get away with after all and I’m in no way insecure or desperate for anybodies comfort or company… manipulation is a personality flaw in my blessed opinion… if I want or feel I need something I just ask for it there and then live & direct.. no skirting round the houses or putting out those guilt trips… I’m a straight as a dye… you’ll always know where you stand with me and if I’m not happy you’ll know about it first hand… I do not let other people tell me what to do or who I should or shouldn’t speak to… too many people out there are having their lives bossed by some one else / others and they’ve become onlookers or passengers to their own existence… that’s not me.. cos this is my life and I’m gonna live it my way all day everyday always… Amen !! Hi… bye and thanks Ciao ;)’

Bless you Sweet Soul Spot on Having been that insecure that I became a people pleaser, desperate to be liked, even loved. Then one day the light bulb switched on, the most important person to love you is you, to care about you is you, to listen to you is you etc When you can do this for yourself then you can bring so much more to others. I tend to speak openly with people, hopefully with care and understanding but honestly. I remember receiving a call from someone after a fair I had had a stand at and she started with "I was so angry with you, then I started thinking about what you said and I realised you were the only person who had been honest with me" What a gift for both of us. Always be you Namaste🙏

Projection: You calling me selfish, in the thousand subtle ways there are to do it, is something I could hear as 'I'm trying to manipulate you to do something out of my own selfishness.' I'm just repeating what you said in the video.
@SaraJane-Vocal-Reiki2 ай бұрын
The words I used are "Those that always got us to do what they wanted start hearing No, from us and start calling us selfish with the hope of regaining control. Remember they are the ones who are being selfish, they are just projecting on to you how they are." I am taking the words you have used above are your understanding of what I said. Namaste Sweet Soul

@@SaraJane-Vocal-Reiki Every person has a sphere of empathy, empathy for themselves and empathy for others. Some people have a bigger sphere than others. I wonder what experiences in life make for a large or smaller sphere?
@SaraJane-Vocal-Reiki2 ай бұрын
@@arthurwieczorek4894 Is that not down to the choices we make from the experiences we have had? Or perhaps it goes way deeper than that to a Soul choice, after all we are here to have experiences and the Soul has chosen very many of them, it is then up to us how we "deal" with them 🙂 Namaste Sweet Soul 🙏

@@SaraJane-Vocal-Reiki 'Soul choice' is a very poetic turn of phrase.
@SaraJane-Vocal-Reiki2 ай бұрын
@@arthurwieczorek4894 For me it is about what I believe and not everyone believes the same. Personally I believe that our Soul has chosen this life experience and all the experiences we have within it. Our Soul knows everything but cannot experience without taking physical form and in doing that we are made to forget all that our Soul knows. As we grow we learn, as we get older, we may choose to unlearn those things that we think we have "learnt" about ourselves and grow into the person we choose to be. We all have choices. i like what you are saying but i totally disagree when people say that thing of "what other people think about us is none of our business"..i say this because VERY often what other people think of others DOES, and CAN have HUGE and serious consequences for people who are being thought about with malice or hate or envy or bitterness even when we are very happy, that can lead some people to be very bitter that we ARE happy.. and that can lead to the bitter people using things like character assassination in small communities or at work, which can ruin a persons life sometimes so what other people think about us really DOES affect us in very bad ways sometimes, if the person thinking about us is bitter and abusive to us it's not something we manifest by us thinking it will happen.. often bitter or abusive types will attack us just BECAUSE we are feeling really good and optimistic and they want to stop us feeling good or being liked by others etc.. so what other people think about us really IS our business, because if we just let them attack and we don't protect ourselves that can have dire consequences in our lives or careers
@SaraJane-Vocal-Reiki3 ай бұрын
Bless you Sweet Soul I do hear what you are saying and we all have the right to our own understandings and opinions. For me it is about remembering that that is all their stuff, their issues and while what they say and do presses our buttons and gets reactions from us, they have power over us and sadly by reacting we give them that power. Jealousy is a nasty thing and well named as "the green eyed monster". I get that it isn't easy in those circumstances, I've had it happen and was blessed that my friends new me well enough to not listen. For me the best way to deal with it is to stand our ground with love and caring, letting go of anger and fear, and that takes a lot of strength. Namaste🙏

Not listening to the child of global war criminals
@SaraJane-Vocal-Reiki3 ай бұрын
Bless you Sweet Soul Perhaps if their child was listened to and heard + started to feel loved, their attitude and lack of compassion and consideration for others would be awakened. Trauma can create anger as well as those who become people pleasers, both are a cry for help. That doesn't mean I condone the actions of those that hurt others, I don't, it is totally unacceptable and sadly there are a few that are that narcissistic, what they do is wrong on every level.
