*@SFTS SRC* Hi there! One of the few SFTS tracks I don't have a name for is 15B. 15A is a frolicking, playful Boroque-inspired number, with a Spanish guitar & a flute duetting in lead, backed by an electric bass & a full orchestra string section. 15B is a soothing, mellow, redundant, but elegantly beautiful 3-chord melody. Piano interacting with electric bass; full violin section accompaniment Would you please tell me the name of SFTS #15B, if you know it? I'm trying to identify which original De Wolfe LP it appears on. And by this I can also identify its author & orchestrator. Concerning further SFTS tracks of a similar excelling magnificence, there are Roger Webb _(Natural Beauty),_ Alberici & May _(Renoir),_ & David De Wolfe himself _(De Wolfe Music Vol I & II, Renoir)_ *Concerning your own request for titles, here is what I have so far:* 1. Mr Lucky, authored & orchestrated by Karl Jenkins, album is Sunny Jim, 1980 2. Snips, same author, same album 3. Sunnyside, " 4. Sunny Jim, " 5. Mr Satisfied 6. Hello Again, authored & orchestrated by Roger Webb, album is Natural Beauty, 1981 7. Love Match, " 8. To A Dark Lady, author & orchestrator unknown, album is Far Away Lands 15, year unknown. Practically a requiem mood! Spanish guitar lead, full violin section accompaniment 9. 10. Bucolic Mood 2, Nick Ingman, album is Orchestral Tales, 1999 11. To A Country Lady, " 12. Summer Breezes, Brian Alberici & Andrew May, album is Renoir, 1985 13. Just Misty, " 14. Unknown: Renaissance-inspired harpsichord lead; full violin section accompaniment 15A. Unknown: Boroque-inspired Spanish guitar & flute duet 15B. Unknown: Piano & electric bass duet; basic 3-chord

I once heard this tune used by a supermarket chain on a TV commercial. I can't pinpoint if it was Jewel Osco or Dominick's Finer Foods. It was in Illinois back in the late 1980s. I just recall the announcer reading food items and prices over this tune.

That's just it. Easy Listening radio never told us the song or artist/ conductor/ orchestra. But after hearing them 100s of times over the years, we never forgot them Who knew we'd have to wait 35-40 years to find out? Sure, thanks to the existance of cable TV it was easy to imagine someday we'd watch movies or listen to music that we chose, on demand. But who couldve known it would be something as massive & all-inclusive as youtube?? 🤷

*@Djay B @SFTS SRC* Good to have another piece of the puzzle in naming all 18 tracks of _Sounds for the Supermarket, 1975._ Ask anyone who grew up listening to Easy Listening radio from the 50s through the 80s. Most Easy Listening stations didn't tell their listeners what they were playing. Listening to Dallas-Ft Worth's 100 KEZY-FM as a child in the 70s, the music sets were 50 minutes of continuous music every hour, uninterrupted by a DJ. Those last 10 minutes at the end of each hour were 10 minutes of advertising, or else the latest news & weather... When I heard De Wolfe's music for the first time on KZbin in 2016, I can't tell you what that did for me. I hadn't heard those recordings in 35 years. There are no words. Let's just say that the very best music is the kind where you need only hear it once, & you will remember it for life. Paul Mauriat's instrumental, _Love Is Blue_ & Andrew May & Brian Alberici's _Summer Breezes_ are two such examples for me, personally. Having heard these pieces hundreds of times as a child I had to wait over three decades before eventually having access to the names of orchestrators & of writers of this magnificent Contemporary Orchestra music. Totally worth the wait! 😊💜💙💜 Thank you for uploading _Summer Breezes,_ & for creating a channel dedicated to De Wolfe's modern symphonies P.S. - - Two other once-in-a-lifetime pieces of Contemporary Orchestra are the late John Barry's _John Dunbar Remix,_ from the _Dances With Wolves_ soundtrack. (In 1990) Also Lee Holdridge's _Snow Frolic,_ (1970) from the movie _Love Story._ Enjoy! _John Dunbar Remix,_ John Barry kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHzLeWeCaL1qpKM _Snow Frolic,_ Lee Holdridge kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWnIaWiYpLp7qJo

@@The4MusketeersYT 👍 Thank You! I thought this newer version had 19. But you're right... 3 years ago when Jer Jae uploaded the album there were 18 individual songs on 16 tracks. So 2 of the 16 tracks had 2 songs per track. A few months ago he had to re-upload the album for whatever reason, but when he did he added more

SFTS #14: - Unknown - I can only speculate that it sounds like something Nick Ingman would compose #15A: - Unknown - Very Baroque #15B: - Unknown - Especially kills me not knowing this one, 'cause I heard it hundreds of times on KEZY 100-FM (Dallas-Ft Worth) back in the 80's #16 - _Outlook,_ Roger Webb, 1981, from his Natural Beauty album. I should know- - I have the album Sorry I cant be more helpful. If I had the timeor the patience I could search De Wolfe Music's online library under Nick Ingman, Roger Webb, or Alberici & May & find at least one more song title. Best of luck to you 💜

*@Just Muzak* Wow! Thank You once again. This isnt the 1st time youve helped me. Now I can identify the original albums for those songs 💜 For decades I never knew the name of _Remember._ Afterall, we heard these songs hundreds of times over Easy Listening radio. Deprived of the artist & orchestra, I became attuned to Roger Webb's style long before ever knowing who he is. And I was dying to at least know the names of his songs, just to have an idea of the intended theme. To me, he and Alberici & May (both of De Wolfe) have contemporary orchestrals unlike anything else under that vast & varied umbrella. Not to be melodramatic, but theirs is a body of work I'll cherish forever Respectfully, I dont know who's calling it _Morning Start,_ but thats actually _Outlook_

*@Just Muzak* 👌Thank You. As far as I can tell, both songs have practically the same instrumental arrangement, even the same key. No wonder I had them confused. You could say _Morning Start_ is a slower tempo version of _Outlook._ The flute is the one leading, rather than accompanying a piano thats leading on _Outlook_

1983. Its originally from _Renoir,_ the De Wolfe album by Brian Alberici & Andrew May. Someone else here says thats SFTS Track #12. SFTS #13A & 13B are also by Alberici & May, from the same album. They are _Just Misty_ & _Harvey Wallbanger._ Performed by De Wolfe's International Recording Orchestra. Or as some of us say informally "De Wolfe Orchestra." Although it doesnt appear on the SFTS compilation album, allow me to recommend Reg Tilsey's _From The Heart,_ also from _Renoir._ It can also be found on KZbin by its original title, same as those others Since the album credits do not reveal these details, an educated guess is David De Wolfe for arranger & conductor. 2nd great grandson of the founder who established the orchestra in 1909, if memory serves. For any song on _Renoir_ featuring a piano, likely its Brian Alberici performing; if not its his writing partner Andrew. They are both accomplished pianists. Enjoy! 💜
