summer capsule wardrobe 2023 | hanger method, declutter

Curating my first ever capsule wardrobe! Also using the hanger method & drawer method so that by the end of the summer I will have a clearer picture on what I want to declutter!
Rules I will adhere by:
1. Use a summer capsule wardrobe for 3 months this summer and challenge myself to use them all.
2. Use the hanger method - where I place the hangers backwards and once they are used, flip the hangers the right way to symbolize I used them ( alternate rule: keep the hanger backwards if worn, but did not like )
3. Fold the rest of my clothes and put them into drawers in my dresser, leave 1 drawer empty. Once any of these extra clothes are worn, place them into the extra drawer to symbolize those were worn as well.
4. Any item of clothing with the hanger still backwards, or not in the extra drawer will be decluttered.
( lenient on items like formal dresses/leggings that aren't worn often for the summer, accessories and shoes also )

I think it's great that you are trying the capsule wardrobe approach to see what you use & don't use in your closet ❤ 1 suggestion: if you find yourself with "take it off" pieces (you put it it on & immediately take it off) just put it right in the declutter bin. No sense putting it back backwards. You already know it's not working & you're not going to wear it. Enjoy the beauty of the empty space 😊

A suggestion for your jewelry- you might consider buying soft lined jewelry trays from Amazon and putting them in that top drawer to keep your items organized and dust free. =) This is what I did in my dresser and I like having that stuff out of sight.
