Loved the Kentucky Derby party photos-hubby made a great, cute bartender! And your outfit cute and creative. Spectacular views, pool and furniture. Your idea of moving a few pieces around would work! We've all been there with some purchase remorse. Enjoyed the story of you meeting your neighbor; we have a much smaller, rural neighborhood with land acreage anywhere from 5 acres (my property) to 50 acres. And what a great Vermont neighborhood with "dinner crawls" several times per year-an app course at one host's home and a dessert course at another host's home. So distance between neighbors sometimes doesn't matter. Debbie, I find your delivery fresh and real. Keep on going!🐎🌹🏆

Hi Debbie! Your backyard looks like a tropical paradise. It’s giving me Margaritaville vibes for sure. I love the colors of those cushions and those Adirondack chairs as well as the pillows on them. That’s a neat story about your neighbor, Bernice. I love Geraniums and that one is a pretty color. I usually buy red every year. They look nice with my black wrought iron. But, just today I bought lavender ones. I figure I’d switch it up. Paying homage to you Debbie with your lavender. 😊 Yes, my mom used to bring her plants in during the frost or during the winter as well. So funny. I would love hammocks as a kid and as a teen. No fear. But, I won’t get into a hammock nor those zero gravity chairs that we have. At least not in the reclining position. 😳 I love your sectional. It’s not showing too different on camera. It’s a beautiful piece of furniture. But, I definitely get it.That fire pit is wonderful. 💕 You and your husband look fabulous in your Kentucky Derby outfits. I love those cheerful colors. It sounds like your food and your drinks were crowd pleasers. Too funny about the KFC nuggets. I would always bake some chicken strips for the kids at my gatherings. But, the adults would end up eating those as well. It looks like a nice group of people. The outfits are awesome! I’m glad it was a hit! Well done as always. ❤️

I’m from Louisville, Ky and have been to the Derby in box seats and the infield. Box seats are the way to go. Skip the infield. Your party looked perfect and so Derby worthy! We live in Florida now and almost always have a Derby party every year. I would love to see how you did your Hot Browns. I always make the food the day before but haven’t figured out how to do that with Hot Browns. Thanks for all the Derby tips and ideas. BTW I don’t like Mint Jupeps but we always serve them because they’re traditional. Many of our friends love them but I prefer the southwest Florida Mint Julep, aka Mojito. 🤣
