SUMMER FLOWER CONTAINER MAINTENANCE 🌸

In today's video I’m inviting you to come along with me as I do some regular maintenance on my annual summer containers to help my flowers look their best! 🌺
I keep it simple by doing three things regularly:
GROOM by deadheading and trimming flowers back as needed. I also pinch plants such as Dusty Miller to keep them from getting leggy. I like a full, abundant look!
FEED my flowers with ‪@ProvenWinnersKZbin‬ Plant Food every third watering. In the height of summer that means more frequent feedings to ensure they get the nutrients needed to persevere and perform in hot, dry conditions. This is an absolute GAME CHANGER! I noticed a drastic difference after my very first time using this.

SPRAY my containers with Captain Jack’s BT spray to keep the budworms away. In my experience and area, budworms seem to really target petunias. I’ve noticed little bite marks followed by a drastic drop in blooms. 🐛

I take off the sprinkler head (if possible) on my watering can. This way you can sneak the end to the dirt without too much trouble 👩‍🌾L💚VE the tags in your journal. Definitely stealing that idea for my notes. TFS

You would do better to buy pure neem oil and mix a spoon of it to a gallon of water with a spoon of dish soap to get more bang for your buck and also a pure product. Most neem oil sprays actually are not made from pure neem oil. Love your color combos.
