Here a year later almost to re watch this video for the summer coming up. I have to say, thank you for the layering combinations of sunny side up and utopia vanilla coco. It really makes the kayali one much more wearable for me. I’m not a gardenia fan usually but sunny side up really tone it down and this create a wonderful balance. This is the way to go..!

Lauren, your recommendation of Coconut Palm made me want to try it so I recently smelled it when I was at Target, and I was IMMEDIATELY thrown back to my trip to Miami. We stayed at the Ritz Carlton in South Beach and Coconut Palm reminds me SO much of the scent they pump through their vents. It’s that PLUS Diptyque Philosykos (they have their bath products in the bathrooms) and now I have an Instant scent memory. I know that’s not really important for anyone but me but it was such a cool experience. Coconut Palm itself smells SO GOOD -and I totally agree with what you’ve said about how it smells way more expensive than it is

First of all: the lipstick is giving me everythingggg! My favourite fruity scent is Mixed Emotions by Byredo, I love blackcurrant as a note and the smoky, leathery mate tea and birch notes in that perfume just make it smell so... badass? I agree that it's just so nice to see fruity notes taken into a bit of a different, more grounded direction.

I love your descriptions of fragrances so much! I always really struggle to blind buy fragrances because I don't find most descriptions very helpful at all, lol. Eventhough I love coconut notes, this summer I got Lacome Idole Nectar and have been *obsessed* with layering it with fruity bodysprays, especially peach! It's a total rose-bomb but also has a caramel and popcorn notes, it sounds so weird but it's INCREDIBLE.

Great video. my favorite Xerjof fragrance is Lira. It's the perfect gourmande in my opinion. Top: Blood orange, Bergamot and lavendar. Middle: Cinnamon, liquorice and jasmine. Bottom: Caramel, vanilla and musk. I would say that I don't really get the liquorice (wich is a note I don't prefer) It is mostly a sweet caramel, vanilla and blood orange scent but it is just so intoxicating to me.

I've always been interested in fragrances but have really dipped my toes in thanks to your channel. :) My go-to scent this summer has been Paula's Ibiza by Loewe. The Eclectic one is lovely too, but the original is so unique and lovely. Maybe you'd be into it because it's unisex and has coconut as a top-note!

Have you ever tried Kate Walsh’s Boyfriend perfume? You and I have a lot of similar tastes, and that’s one of my epic loves. It has to be sprayed on the skin, though, NOT the clothes, or it just doesn’t smell right. Anyway, your love of by the fireplace and woodsy vanillas makes me think you might like (even love?) I picket up Sunfruit based on a previous video where you featured it. I gotta say that I love it for summer! It doesn’t feel sophisticated, but maybe that’s what I like about it for a summer fragrance, because I love how bright and cheerful it is. It brightens my mood as soon as I spritz it. Its brightness reminds me of Malibu Musk, which I had when I was a teen, but Sunfruit’s less sweet and less “Bath and Body Works”, I think. My complain is that it doesn’t have nice longevity or sillage, such a bummer. I feel like Ellis Brooklyn’s scents have that problem, at least that’s been my complain about the two that I’ve tried.

Things that come to mind and remind me of summer: Pop by Stella McCartney (2016) CK2 by Calvin Klein (2016) Anything from Nest New York (I wear them all year) I’ve been sampling a lot of things this summer, actually, so I do not have a go-to fragrance this summer. Aug 2022 I purchased a full bottle of La Belle Le Parfum by Jean Paul Gaultier (2021) on my honeymoon in Jamaica. I wore that into Fall and winter, but it always now reminds me of vacation!

Papaya paradise has been my favorite since getting it like a month ago, I think I’ve worn it almost every day since then 🙈 I don’t know if you’ve tried magnolia bliss from Juliette has a gun but I have also loved that one this summer, much more floral but in a fruity way instead of in like a sharp or powdery way? Florals often give me a headache so I can’t really wear them too much, but that one I can wear daily!

I tried Lilac Love from Amouage today and it was so hard not to buy it immediately! It was definitely a love at first sniff situation that I was not prepared for based on looking at the notes. Powdery gourmand lilac with chocolate and vanilla anyone? I could not stop smelling myself!

I'm definitely interested in the coconut ones, but the mix bar one looks like it's sold out right now. Kinda sad. I've tried heretic dirty coconut through scent bird. It smells like fresh coconut cream in me, but the longevity sucks. I sampled nest's new coconut one in store, but it goes super floral on me.

Beach Nights is amazing. To me it smells exactly like walking into a candy store with the hot caramel popcorn and candies being made. With the sea salt and drift wood that make it more interesting like you said. I had to get a backup off of Mercari. I NEED it in a candle and a Wallflower!
