A tip for oily skin in the summer is applying translucent powder in the t zone before foundation. You probably heard of it but it's a life saver 🙌

Love this look! I'm going back to school (as a teacher) and I'm a mom! So either look/tutorial would be poppin! And welcome to the East coast! I'm in VA, it gets crazy here (we are all over the weather forecast map). A couple suggestions are to moisturize in the winter, stay hydrated, carry chapstick, build your immune system with vitamins and whatnot because sick people are real and everywhere, haha; also this weather will probably be different for your hair if you're used to weather in Cali- so be mindful of that! All in all I love the east coast! I've been here my whole life & I'm turning 29 in two weeks so it's a great coast to be on overall. Love your videos as always!

Love the olive green! You're coming East?? YAYYY, Vermont is really beautiful too! As a lifelong Northeast Coast dweller, your biggest shock will be the winter cold(no duh), but what I mean is not only the cold dry air outside, but the dry heated air inside that can suck the life out of your skin and hair. Look into room humidifiers, they will be your BFF appliance in the wintertime. Also, I like to put aloe vera juice in a spray bottle and spray that on my face after washing(and patting dry)and before applying my serums(hyaluronic acid and vitamin C). I also add an oil to my winter skincare regimen, smoothing one or two drops of either argan, baobab, jojoba or flaxseed oil( on my faceI use a dropper)before finally using moisturizer. I also love my Grace Ellaye satin lined caps, I wear them to bed, as beanies outside, and when it's really cold, under a heavier knit hat. They really are nice, well made caps, and even better they now come in different sizes.

These tips are gold Geri! Thank you. Years ago when I first went natural, I used to use that same aloe vera trick, but since I mostly protective style now, I've gotten lazy. I'll be going back to it now that you reminded me. I'm also a little worried about driving in severe winter / snow conditions. Like black ice on the roads...that's enough to make me give up my license 😂.

Ohhh yes, aloe and the oils in the hair too, I forgot to add that! Vermont gets a lot more snow than NJ, so they are a lot more up on keeping the roads clear, but yes, the black ice can be very scary and winter driving can be stressful. I can only advise taking your time and always leave plenty of time to travel during winter. And invest in really good sets of thermal underwear and at least two pair of fleece leggings.

Make sure you get a satin-lined winter cap. Start looking for them early at Macy's, Dillards, Nordstrom. Or, you could buy a swatch of satin and sew it into your favorite winter cap.

I enjoy most of your videos. I would get more information if you stated what color foundation you are using and the color or number of the powders you are using. Thanks for saying Maybelline fit me powder oxidizes. I have not been able to find the correct color now I will stop looking. Doing a updated professional look would be very helpful. I have very oily skin and finding the correct foundation is very difficult. I need guidance!!! In selecting the best color, coverage, and long wearing. Thanks

+BJ Jackson thank you for letting me know! Sometimes I forget to add the shades. The UD foundation is shade 9.75. Maybelline fit me powder is in deep and the Lancôme powder is in the shade 500. I appreciate your input 😊

Jungle Naps Hey thanks for the quick response and the info!!! I just used my new Lancom powder tonight and it is 500.

Very gorgeous look! I really like a green look! Good luck on your move! I live in Ohio it gets pretty cold, i suggest you join a gym in winter months, wear heavier face moisturizer, and for Health suggestions check to see if you have. asthma or have trouble breathing during the cold snaps, it sound strange but its very important. Thanks for the video😊

I love your videos you seem really nice. I would like to see a more professional type of make up look for interviews or for work itself. Also, if you're moving to a place where it snows I would definitely recommend that you invest in a nice pair of snow boots. They're not the prettiest things but your feet will thank you when you trudge through snow unaffected by the cold.

+Elsa Garcia that's a great point. I have some boots that I bought for a winter vacation in South Korea but now they're sitting unused in my closet lol. Also thanks for the video suggestion!!

Get several pairs of snow boots!! Cute boots might not work in snowed in areas. I would always bring my cool boots with me but would wear my snow boots otherwise until I got to my destination.
