Hair clips and extra hair bands together with scarf pins. I am going to take the upper body round scarf that covers your head, neck iand goes down your upper body in a cone shape loosely!

instead for rambling for unscented toothpaste one should carry Miswak. it's worth in every aspect then toothpaste n toothbrushes.
@fatimask7 жыл бұрын
The sheikhs in my group informed me that it is OK to use regular toothpaste. It is up to the individual whether they want to use toothpaste or stick to Miswak.

This was a really useful and informative video and came to know about stuff I hadn't even thought of... Btw now that you have experienced the journey and all that it entails, would you recommend any additional tips and or exclude something from above, etc? Would love to know your thoughts. :) Jazak Allah Khair

can we use sun block!? in the state of ihram?
@fatimask2 жыл бұрын
Yes make sure it’s unscented. Sunblock for sensitive skin usually does not have any scent added to it.
@KariIllustrations6 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I'm trying to look for a good sun screen to take for Umrah but i'm not sure if it's just unscented to look out for or if i should be looking for alcohol free ones too.
@fatimask5 жыл бұрын
It's generally a good idea to use skincare products without alcohol because it's not good for the skin. Not sure if it would be an issue from the Umrah point of view though. It's on your skin and you're not consuming it. Whatever gives you most peace of mind.

@fatimask5 жыл бұрын
You can wear any moisturizer and sunscreen during Ehraam that doesn't have a scent in it. So check your regular things and if they don't have perfumey scent, then you should be OK to use it. Most products designed for "sensitive skin" are free of fragrances.

@fatimask7 жыл бұрын
Wsalaam sister. Burka is not necessary at any point during Hajj/Umrah. In fact, as part of the Ihram requirement, you are advised not to cover your face. Hope this answers your question.

AoA. My mother got them tailored. If you are able to find a seamstress and provide them with your own fabric and design, that would be the best option.

Asgar Ali Khan dear sister السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته what is not allowed for the women to dress in ihram is the gloves and the niqab just like the T shirt for the men that doesn't mean that they show their body but the meaning is to wear simple cloth to cover حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ الرُّكْبَانُ يَمُرُّونَ بِنَا وَنَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُحْرِمَاتٌ فَإِذَا حَاذَوْا بِنَا سَدَلَتْ إِحْدَانَا جِلْبَابَهَا مِنْ رَأْسِهَا إِلَى وَجْهِهَا فَإِذَا جَاوَزُونَا كَشَفْنَاهُ . Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin: Riders would pass us when we accompanied the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while we were in the sacred state (wearing ihram). When they came by us, one of us would let down her outer garment from her head over her face, and when they had passed on, we would uncover our faces. Sunan Abu-Dawud (The Rites of Hajj (Kitab Al-Manasik Wa'l-Hajj)) Reference : Sunan Abi Dawud 1833

It is perfectly ok to use normal toothpaste, shampoo and soap as long as it does not have a strong scent that someone non-mahram can smell. please refer to (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2786) The smell of deodorant and mists can build up if you spray too much; but toothpaste on the other hand doesn't leave an "attractive scent" that people passing by can smell. And the use of perfume for women applies at all times, not just Hajj. Bottom line, Islam isn't an extreme religion, so please take it easy.
