A familiar sound. The man chording on the guitar 🎸. I’m 79 years old now and I still remember when I was about 7 or 8 years old my mother taught me how to chord on our old upright piano 🎹. My fingers are so deformed by age now but I can still chord songs on the piano 🎹 of my mind. 😅😅😅🥰🥰🥰

I’m watching this movie on January 2nd 2024. Did everyone eat their black eyed peas for the good luck 🍀 of this new year? When that black woman cracked open that watermelon 🍉 it reminded me of when I was 7 or 8 years old and would go to visit my daddy and Mamie for a month every summer. Daddy had a large field where he raised black Diamond watermelons 🍉. The big trucks would come and load them up with watermelons 🍉 to sell. The took them all over Texas to sell them and he was considered the watermelon 🍉 king of Texas. Daddy would walk through the watermelon 🍉 patch and point to the watermelons that were ripe and ready to be sold and the men would load them up. After all of the melons 🍉 that were gone that it wouldn’t have been worth saving daddy would turn the hogs into the watermelon 🍉 patch to eat the rest of them. I would go into the watermelon 🍉 patch and break up as many melons 🍉 as I could eat. I would pick up a melon 🍉 and drop it on the ground. When it broke the heart ❤️ would drop out of it and it wouldn’t have any seeds in it. It was delicious 🍉🍉🍉🍉😋😋😋😋Also he had several peaches 🍑 trees and I would climb up into one of them and eat ripe peaches 🍑. My hands would get sooo sticky. 🍉🍉🍉🍉🍑🍑🍑🍑😅😅😅

I’ve just started to watch this movie and it has the same vibe and feel of The Long Hot Summer starring Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman. I still think that’s the sexiest movie that I’ve ever seen and I think that’s because of the emotions shared between them. They were literally making love 💕 on screen yet I didn’t feel as if it were vulgar. When he was kissing her and removing the pins out of her hair in preparation for taking her to bed upstairs was a lot sexier than the camera following them on up the stairs. The same way it was in the movie Gone With The Wind when Rhett Butler was carrying Scarlet O’Hera up the staircase. 🥰🥰🥰

Her story of isolation, husband's relationship to the farm's responsibilities placing her in second place of attention or even giving a ounce of how hard she worked in the woman's role and mother's role, left little room for a tender moment during the day and even night... she said she never knew how to say no to anyone except for the 4th of July festival... she had been caught up in the persuit by a man whose basic needs were done with little remorse in all his actions towards man or woman. For those who see only her as the cheater fail to see how many times they have failed in their actions to people in their lives. The story was how a woman or a man can do the wrong thing in a blink of an eye never imaging the consequence.

Not saying she was without being in the wrong. She seemed to be incapable of speaking up for herself to either man.
