I’m starting my 10th yr homeschooling this fall & we have always schooled year round! It works so well! School is just a part of our everyday life. Year round also affords us to take a day or two here and there if needed. Our longest breaks are a week at Christmas and then we take the month of June off so I can plan and prep the new year. The kids all still do 15 mins of math per day as well as keep reading books (which I don’t have to tell them to do). I do have to remind them to do their math haha 😛 Year round works!

I've been homeschooling my 4 yr old through the summer and will continue to homeschool year round. I like having structure and a routine and so does she. we keep school time pretty short since she is still so young.

I have 2 boys one in 1st grade and the other in 2nd grade. And a baby 7 months old! We do homeschool all year round. It’s more flexible and like that they don’t forget anything they’ve learned. ❤️

Love this! I'm also homeschooling my boys this summer. I just had a baby in March and we had to take more break days than usual this year. You and your husband are doing great raising your littles! Keep up the amazing work 💗

Hi. I'm Italian.. I was planning to homeschool my 3.5 yo (I only have one daughter) but things have started to get really stressful to me.. she's going through a sleep regression, she skips her afternoon nap sometimes and she's not much cooperative when it comes to sit down and doing activities.. and above all we're always alone.. we live in the countryside and there's no kids around us.. even the playground is always empty... my husband is out of town frequently and I'm exhausting all the time... my girl doesn't stay with people she's anxious and shy when we meet someone.. so I'll put her to school from September.. the school is basically a farm with animals and lands.. they do outdoors activities even in winter time.. few kids.. they won't teach the alphabet or numbers and other traditional school stuff but she'll have the chance to stay with others and build her own personality... I hope to be able to teach her something more in the afternoon (she will go there in the morning)... I'm sad and I've been crying a lot for not being able to cope with my anxiety and to not being able to teach her the way you are teaching your girls... Leilah and Samara are brilliant and it's thank to you.

You’re doing great, Mama! It will come together, and keep in mind that every difficulty comes and then goes. Toddlerhood is for learning through play and whatever else (if anything) works for you guys on top of that. Every home is different, and we do alternatives to public school to cater to our unique kids/families. My husband travelled a lot for years, and it is so hard. You can get through this, and keep reaching out to others. 💕

We are doing little hearts and hands too... that lesson was so sweet! We are also doing the safety unit from tgtb which had been a great unit for the summer months :)

Mine are only 5 and 4 but I’m doing unschooling during the summer. Basically just teaching them through day-to-day experiences. Keeping the desire to learn alive in everyday moments, but not sitting down to do “book work”. I’m going to hype up “school” closer to time. I might consider year round schooling if I notice it helps next year.

I haven’t watched your channel in a bit, is your husband with the littles every time you do school? Such a blessing even if it’s only sometimes!! For your older girls to get that time for you to really focus on them ❤️

I had been homeschooling my toddler's since my middle son turn 2. He is 5 now. I thought about keeping him home because he has so many food and environmental allergies. I decided to send him to public school after the summer because he just doesn't play so well with other kids. Pretty much just looks at them. He has a speech delay too but teaching him at home has definitely helped. Im praying he doesn't have too many allergy exposures at school. I'm gonna fall all to pieces. I'm not a very good teacher though. -_- They want them to know so much coming into school. How do all the kids know this stuff?! Seems like home school is more relaxed.

My son has many food and season allergies. The teachers, nurse and principal are very careful. They have notes, an allergy plan and medication. He goes to a public school and did great in kindergarten. In the fall will be a 1st grader

@@MzCAGOMEA just schedule a meeting and go over everything and have the action plan from his doctor. It will help a lot. They had a whole area that was nut free because several kids had food allergies, especially peanut and tree nut. For Halloween, the PTA was given a list of which kids were diabetic, were nut free, were gluten free, etc

@@angelaelena7775 I have two kiddos who have done concurrent enrollment college while in high school. They graduate with associates degrees, which is super helpful! Colleges will ask for a transcript (which you make yourself). Ours did not require ACT or SAT testing but some do. I have heard that most colleges love homeschoolers because they tend to be less passive about their education and more self-led. No one I know in the homeschooling community has had trouble getting higher education for their children. I’m sure it happens, but it is rare.
