So atmospheric, I don't usually like music accompanying beautiful natural locations but this added something to the locale, thank you.

My granny has lived there 73 years, she’ll love this😌 you did a great job of capturing the feel of it.

Nice, nostalgic and slow - like the life on Outer Hebrides itself

That was amazingly relaxing, thank you. Such a beautiful area, very nicely filmed. I like the music you chose too, it all went together well.

That is just beautiful! Made me homesick for Ireland, similar countryside to the West.

Thanks! This was edited in the H.264 straight out of the camera and then lightly grade in DaVinci Resolve. The output from Resolve was ProRes422. As for the Tiffen filter... I love it! It's really easy to use, but yes, the lack of outer threading is a bit of a pain. This is probably the biggest con of the filter. If you can be bothered to put it away properly/ put it back on then it's totally worth it.

Hi Niko, thanks for the feedback! No this was filmed in H.264 with the Flaat10 colour profile. The Circular Polarising Filter really helps to get decent exposure in the skies without a gradient ND. It tends to live on the camera when I'm out in the sun!

No problem. I've not experienced a V shape on any image and I've used the full range of the ND filter. I haven't done extensive testing or anything with it, but I have found it to give a pretty clean image (though slightly cooler colour shift... not a major issue if you can adjust the white balance via Kelvin)

Great work! Vibrant colors and sharp images. Did you change the bit rate with Magic Lantern?

Hope you enjoy using the Tiffen. I have step up rings on all my lenses to make it as easy as possible to throw on a 77mm filter. Happy shooting!

great color correction, good choices on framing and actually editing to the music. keep it up!

Yes, it was Resolve Lite. With what I have used it for, I've been limited in anyway by the Lite version. There are a few decent and free tutorials out there that help to become more familiar with the interface, though it is pretty straightforward to get around on.

Thanks for the reply! No, the bit rate was the default bit rate. I've experienced with higher bit rates in the past and failed miserably, so I tend to stick to default now.

Beautifully shot, fantastic colours. What camera and glass was used??
@toddwellfilms9 жыл бұрын
Ian Finch Thanks for taking the time to comment! It was shot on a 60D and mainly using the Sigma 18-200mm, though some shots may have been the Tamron 28-75mm f2.8.
