That trout looked so mouthwatering. I would never think of cooking it on a grill. I'm looking forward to seeing those trenches in action. Tell Matt to use an umbrella and wear his poncho when he goes out to film it in the rain.

The trick to grilling the trout on the grill, or any fish really, is foil and if you can leave the skin on. The fish will then peel right off of the skin once cooked. If you have fish with skin on just use non stick foil or a tiny bit of high heat oil like canola oil or avocado oil. Don't use olive oil, you will ruin the fish as it has a low smoking point (learned that lesson the hard way) 😍🐟 And I'll let Matt know he needs a poncho 😂

@@StudioStacy thanks for the detailed instructions and good advice about the olive oil. I use it more than any other oil.

Are you going to fill the trench “box” in with gravel? Maybe I missed it?

Great question and nope you didn't miss anything. We are leaving them as is for now. We got the idea from a botanical garden in the area. Everything is on a hill around here and while we were walking around the garden we noticed these erosion boxes. They didn't have any pipes or gravel in them and thought it wouldn't hurt to try them here. We figured we could always add gravel or pipe inside them if need be down the road. Thanks for watching. 😍
