Donna McManus Try the CereVe Ultra Light Moisturizing spf. It isn’t like most sunscreens that cause the white cast and greasiness. Oil of Olay, Neutrogena and Cetaphil have come out with similar spf’s that are made to use with makeup (having mattifying properties or primer in it.)

Shannon Britton never too late to start wearing it. Until I found the CereVe Ultra Light spf I was so bad about routinely using spf. The face ones always broke me out or irritated my skin. Neutrogena came out with a hydroboost gel spf that’s really nice and clear, but it causes some to break out because of something in it, so beware of that. Then I dove into trying all sorts of drugstore spf’s. I don’t like spf in my makeup and it is never enough to do much anyway. I came across the CereVe which doesn’t have that sunscreen feel/ look to it that we all love so much (once rubbed in, and it’s weightless on the skin.) Cetaphil also has a mattifying primer property to it- both cost around $14-15 for a pump packaging which is really nice. Then I found the Neutrogena and Oil of Olay drops and those are great too for those who wear makeup. Oil of Olay has a mattifying one as well as a regular spf and a primer version, which is genius really and VERY over due. People skip spf because of the white cast, greasy feel and it causing breakouts, so companies are finally catching on and making them into more of a skincare product and primers. Elf has an spf 50 beauty shield primer that a lot of people really like. Oil of Olay whip is another good one but can pill on the skin, so can the Elf for some. Then Maybelline just came out with an IT Cosmetics cc cream dupe (called Urban Cover) with the high spf recently that is a dead on dupe for the original It Cosmetics cc.

Sunscreen is so important! I always use a generous amount on my face and neck and cover my face with a hat if I'm laying out in the sun. And sunscreen is so important even if you're olive and don't burn easily. Sidenote: your skin is looking good, Sam! I use neutrogena sensitive pure screen sunscreen chemical agent free. Congrats on your sponsorship hun you deserve it. The one you mention you use has oxybenzone in it which is a chemical sunscreen I cant tolerate that. The one I mentioned is not a chemical sunscreen by neutrogena. Anyone curious about the difference. A chemical sunscreen allows uv rays to be absorbed then released from the body and is harsher on the skin. A physical sunscreen aka zinc oxide or titanium oxide sits on top of the skin and reflects the suns rays making it ideal for sensitive skin. I recommend sun bum clear zinc spf 50. Free of oxybenzone, rubs in clear, hypoallergenic gluten free paraben free and water resistant up to 80 minutes

As an aesthetician I can definitely say SPF is the most important thing !! On your face though you should be using a mineral based spf so it doesn’t clog your pores. Give the TIZO brand a try specifically TIZO3 it’s amazing. Another point anything higher than spf 30 isn’t protecting you more.. what you need to remember is that you have to be reapplying spf every 2 hours !
