A beautiful guitar. Just what I've been looking for:..a mellow tone, shorter scale, and the ease of playing nylon strings. But my big problem is this: NOBODY HAS THEM IN STOCK. And I live in the New York City area. Not exactly Podunk. How can I buy a guitar that I haven't played?

@MegashadX This is more targeted towards gypsy jazz guitar players. Many gypsy jazz guitarists pick near the bridge and just because it doesn't have good cutaway access doesn't mean they can't be played.

It is not Cyprus - that's an island in the med. The wood is Cypress.

I at one time played these guitars and then played Louis Sevillano guitars.I only play vintage rigs because of this.

I think you and a nubmer of other posters dont undestand the guitar. This is not a gypsy jazz guitar. This is a replica of the Concert Model guitar which Mario Macafferi designed and played professionally. It is NOT meant for the gypsy swing style of music you would typically associate with the guitar shape. Gitanes have an extremely thin polyurethane finish. And many professional players worldwide play these guitars... yes, even some true gypsies!

The Nylon strings give it a mellow Jazzy sound which is the good thing & they're eaiser to play

Beautiful sounding guitar with the gypsy guitar looks and feel great if your having issues with the hands me abit easier to play .

Port Orford Cedar is NOT a cedar.. it is a cypress. Also the cypress on the backs and sides of this particular guitar is of very low quality. To add; Lulo no longer plays one, he has been playing the KREMONA, which to my ears and eyes is a superior guitar.

@MegashadX haha....you should check out more guitarists here on youtube they reach over that area with ease. try checking out that chinese chick, she plays paganini on a classical guitar and manages to reach the high notes. ofcourse you're next argument would be, "but that's classical guitar, this is different" then I would say, I don't give an F cause the point is people can use that extra fret
