Summer NAMM 2016: Yamaha EMX Powered Mixers

when i gig i only use 1 speaker, so i need to be able to pan everything over to it, i would have liked the emx2 sadly it has no panning features, however the emx 5 has the ability to run all your channels to one speaker as a monitor which is perfect, i wish the emx 2 had this also

How do you connect monitors to this? There are only 2 output jacks on the back? The emx212 had 4 and a separate channel for monitors.

Hi, i just bought the EMX 5 last week, can i use the yanmaha stagepas 600i speakers with this emx 5 and a 1 pair of active speakers ?

I have Yamaha- EMX5 used with passive 15" full range speakers, but want to add a powered sub into the mix to help with bass guitar and low end from electronic drums used by our drummer. Is this possible as it is not shown in the manual. i'm guessing via an AUX send??

You can just use a sub with crossover then connect it to the main

Can I run 2x dual 15" 8 ohm speakers on this 1000 watt rms per speaker? second question is..if it's possible can I daisy chain a second pair of dual 12 same power...total of 4 speaker towers all 8 ohm all 1000 watt rms. Also can you Bluetooth a cell phone for music playback or is it just through the 3.5 jack?

Hey, Pink Tiger, Thank you for reaching out with your question on the Yamaha Power mixer. I would not try to run a dual 15 speaker on this unit. At 8 Ohm this unit only has 460w per side and you would be majorly under powering a dual 15 100 watt speaker. If you would like to talk through setup, just give us a call. Of course you can and sound is awesome, there are two connections for 2 passive speakers besides the 10 channels

Nope. You can add a bluetooth to audio dongle though, e.g. the Logitech Bluetooth dongle. That's what I use. Note that the audio quality is limited to the shitty Bluetooth audio spec, which throws away some of the compressed audio data, even the HD version of Bluetooth. You are better off using a cable.

Hi... Could I use an emx2 with Yamaha VS series speakers?... I'm a bit concerned about how to hook them if the cable out of the amplifier comes with a 1/4 plug and the input of the speakers is polarized... Is it a big issue? Thx

If the speakers are powered, do not, I repeat, do not plug it into the the power amp output (the black outputs) plugit into the Monitor output.
