This weekend we decided to have a lakeside BBQ just on the edge of Kyiv near our friend Kateryna and Jenia's apartment. Even though we thought summer had already started, it turns out that the rain would catch us.

In Sweden, we are allowed to make a fire for bbq unless there is a temporary fire ban due to drought and high fire risk. Cheers from Sweden 🍺

It's the same in Canada. We also regulate burning for air quality reasons. In the winter under certain weather conditions, wood stoves must not be used. The USA has similar regulations.

In Latvia you can grill anywhere u want, even on your balcony and we even put one in city center, but after 2 hours cops asked politely to not do that but by a pond or lake its allowed, even have special places for that for free to use with wooden benches under a roof. In Spain it’s forbidden throughout the entire summer to make a fire anywhere. Not even in already built bbq, only in your private property. Wildfires are quite a thing down here

There is a river for that. If you need to chill your drinks, you just take a bag, a rope, put your drink bottles in the bag, put them in the water, and in 5-10 minutes the drinks are chilled xd I am from Ukraine.

Our parks and lakes have them stationed around the parks and lakes maintained by the cities funded through local tax. Most even have playgrounds for kids while families BBQ. Even pavilions you can rent from the city.

How much is a 4 pack of stella? Beer expensive here in Australia. $20 Aud for 6 bottles typically, $50 for 24. Generally not ok to have open fire in Brisbane, in a park usually fire restrictions apply. There are public electric BBQ everywhere though. I think Kate was trying to say she saw an Eel?
