Allyson Garcia Lol I was in a Percy withdrawal after finishing pjo, then I found out about the heroes of Olympus and got really excited to read the lost hero. Looking back it was a great book but I was so annoyed with its lack of Percy at the time 😂😂

Jesse, when it comes to HOO don't expect to much. The first book is just a starting point so if you end up just thinking it's a okay read. Continue on, because after the second book the story picks up from there

Just so you know, you should go into the Lost Hero with an open mind. Some of my friends who LOVE the Heroes of Olympus series as a whole, don't really like the Lost Hero. Just have an open mind about the characters and you should be fine. Personally, I had that mind set and loved it!

Emma L. Blood of Olympus is my least favorite. It was the end of the series and it should've ended with a bang but it fell flat imo haha

EighteenDiamonds It would have been my least favorite too but then i was like the first one didn't have percy and I loveeeeee percy a lot and like no nico. And I needed some time to get used to jason😂 I do think the ending of blood of olympus could have been so much better but I have sorta made peace with this. because in my opinion the trials of apollo is like making up (correcting. can't really find the right word) for the ending of blood of olympus.and we got soooo much Nico in the blood of olympus❤ and it made me also really love reyna and the nike part was really funny and octavian got some bad karma (then you shouldn't have killed teddy bears) the house of hades is still my fave. whats yours?

Emma L. I totally get what u mean. Trials of Apollo is absolutely amazing. Blood of Olympus seemed to lack percy too tho since he had no POV haha. My favorite is also house hades :) I've read it three times cuz it's just so good!

YES!!! Heroes of olympus! Don't let it get you down when you don't get a Percy POV When I read it at first I was like where is Percy?! But this series is soon good!! I think you'll love it!!

Rosy Cheeks Yes! Percy and Annabeth are still my all time favorite OTP and trust me there is plenty of percabeth in this series just not in the first book. I still highly suggest reading them! Annabeth practically gets her own book. I wasn't too thrilled with the last book, it could have had a better ending, but the series is totally worth reading!

I've also read The Golden Compass when I was 10 or 11, and I'm planning to reread it this Summer. I've wanted to reread it for a long time, because I've always heard that you'll take something very different from the book when you're older, and now with the new books coming out, I thought it was the right time :)

I just wanted to tell you I really love your channel and the way you present your videos. 🙂 I'm so glad you're finally starting The Lost Hero! I love all of Uncle Rick's books and I remember buying this as soon as it released. This series takes time to get used to though. The books are also longer than in the PJO series. I'd say just have a little patience with it. Another book I'm so stoked you're reading is The Well of Ascension. I have immense respect for Brandon Sanderson and how he just ups the stakes with every book and takes the plot to places you wouldn't see coming. I will definitely be sending you motivation to read this one. I read The Golden Compass as a kid and enjoyed it a lot! Maybe you'll like it better during your re-read? YOU SHOULD READ WELL OF ASCENSION!!!!! Here's the reasons ->freaking character development(especially Elend!)our beloved potato turns into fabulous french fries!!! ->new twist and characters ->the amazing writing ->and the big twist at the end that will just blow minds ->and there's sadness and war (that left me hopeless and crippled to continue with the 3rd book because it was so powerful)

The Golden Compass is on my TBR list because it's been years since I read it. The first time I read it I was in fifth or sixth grade and I remember I read the entire book on the flight from DFW to London. I really enjoyed the book, but I don't think I fully understood it at the time, hence why it's on my TBR again... plus I'd like to finish the series since I never actually finished it.

How exciting you are finally starting the HOO! I will say I think you should lower your expectations a little bit for the first book. I personally found it to be quite slow at first due to the mysterious aspects of the book. However you definitely should get pumped for the series as a whole! I can not recommend the Well of ascension enough. I read it like a month ago and it was one of the best fantasy series I have ever read. The second book also adds a lot of new and great characters! And even though I love the heroes of Olympus series I could never hate you for not liking it, so read it! And I haven't been aloud to buy any new book these last months, because exams so I 'm really looking forward to this summer to read a bunch of books (sorry for the long comment and my bad spelling) love your videos!!

I read Sleeping Giants on audio and I would 100% recommend reading it that way, as each character has their own voice actor, and because of the format it really enhances the story. But I'll be interested in hearing how someone who read it physically got on with the format.

The Heroes of Olympus series is the series that got me into reading and making a reader, It is so good, funny, and all characters are my babies, and the trio in this book I my favorite, even though a lot of people prefer other trios, these guys made me a reader and love books as much as I do now. Also some books that I really want to read this summer are Snow like Ashes by Sara Raasch, Clockwork Princesses by Cassandra Clare, Roseblood by A.G. Howard, and the Trails of Apollo by Rick Riordan
