I have started a small collection of hoya and learning as I go. I'm finding that I enjoy the small leaf hoya more and am enamored with the Matilde splash that seems to be doing well and I can hardly wait until she fills out and drapes over the edge (yes, she's a female). I recently bought a pathos neon, a non-hoya, that is so beautiful to look at and seems to be doing well.

I imagine that not everyone keeps their overnight temps *inside* the house quite as cool as we do. Way cheaper to just keep the bedroom warm until morning. My issue used to be lighting. I love to have updates on plants. This was such a fun video. It shows me new plants I haven’t ever seen and I take screen shots of them when you post the name. So I appreciate when you show the name with a good view of the plant and maybe leave the name on the screen just a bit longer. Please 🙏 And if you can post a picture of the blooms, that would be a home run in my book!! LOL. I appreciate. All of your knowledge and time you spend helping us newbies and still young PLANTY people. I’ve always had some plants. But my addiction started just over a year ago when I started by Tropical and rare plants. So I have lots to learn. I don’t have a tent and really haven’t even considered one. You need space to put it obviously. And right now with 3 adult kids still home, I don’t have a spare room. When you said something about them getting 360 degree light. Do the sides and bottom reflect light? I never thought about that. I guess that’s why it’s made with that shinny silver material. What is is made of. And if I am wrong, what did you mean? I should start learning now so if I ever have the space I could get one. What are your main reasons for wanting one, besides space to put your. Plants. You could do that. In a room with shelves and grow lights. And several humidifiers. I suppose. Give me your Dave version or sell points for Tent.

Heuschkeliana and Mathilde were two that I hard-core obsessed over when I started getting interested in hoya. In both cases, I couldn't fathom spending as much as they cost at the time for big plants, so I bought several cuttings of both, which cost equal or more than bigger plants would have. (At no point have I claimed to be logical. haha) My Heuschkeliana hasn't grown as fast as I expected that it would, so when I recently saw one at a local nursery, I bought it. I'm curious to see how it will compare. My Michele does what your Kaimuki does. I wanted her so much, but she is a D I V A! Some current faves: MB-1414, both the inner and outer variegated Subquintuplinervis, Australis Tenuipes, and Latifolia Sarawak. I repotted my Krimson Princess and variegated Compacta recently and they are looking extra beautiful. My sp aff Burtoniae is looking really amazing right now, too, and Fungii withstood a pretty brutal repot/re-trellis and hasn't skipped a beat.

Nice catch.... For baby plants with zero or or very small and delicate root systems, they always go into plastic. The risk of dry rot is really magnified otherwise.
