Great vid, really liked the different viewing angles, I would like to know how far you have travelled, is Josh learning to sail. Does Josh like sailing, I think you are more than sensible to sail in what ever season you feel is safe. I love the part of the world you are sailing in and wish you all the best.

Thank you 🙏🏻 We’ve been sailing Brilliant II for 18 years and our longest cruise was from Thailand to Sydney, Australia, during 2006-7. Since then we’ve sailed the east coast of Australia and briefly on another boat in New Caledonia. Josh is included in the sailing when appropriate, not so much because he likes it but because it is good for him to be part of the teamwork. The most important thing is that he loves boat life. He was almost born on board so it’s been a part of his life since the start, and perhaps that helps!

Would love to know what months you were sailing. I am assuming Jan - March? We can only sail north atm during December - January (Hervey Bay is home port) and would love to go north so looking to see how long you guys took. Cheers 🎉

Where did you place your Starlink antenna? I have a 1977 Kelly Peterson with a Solar Arch. But I like to know what works vs trial & errors

Hi, we have a bracket attached to the solar arch on the davits, which comes forward of the panels so as not to cause a shadow. This is a temporary installation in that we don’t keep the dish up there all the time. It’s just for occasions when the system is in use.
