One of my biggest mistakes! I didn’t teach my only child how to clean, cook, do laundry, etc..not for any reason other than I just did it all..I o it had one child and I was a single parent .. not just a single woman with a child a true single parent.. it wasn’t until she was 16 that I realized..she doesn’t know how to do the dishes..or what cleaners to use for the counters. Wasn’t doing her any favors doing it all.. but it was just the 2 of us.

How do you use the "there's nothing to eat" list?

My kids always say there's nothing to eat when in reality they just need ideas. So, on that sheet I would write: PB&J's, mini pizzas, chicken nuggets, yogurt, oranges, popcorn.... Basically just give them ideas of things they can make with what's there or like an inventory of what we do have.
