Yes, they are a little more difficult to spot, especially in murky water, but if you keep a good lookout you might see them in Florida.

Congratulations on breaking 100 subs. These manatee videos should definitely draw viewers to your channel since everyone loves seeing them. My guess is the manatee that surfaced under you was simply trying to interact with people. They're usually as friendly as puppies and if you dive with them they just want you to scratch their tummies and rub all over you. They just love people. Nice video.

Thanks. The manatee was certainly being playful. I agree, they are just like little puppies, and they forget how big and powerful they are. That trip had to be our best manatee interaction to date.
