The ball of fire, precisely positioned between the 2 stone pillars, at sunrise, on the same day each year to signify the longest day. .. How did they do that with no Google search or mechanical equipment???!!! Humans can be amazing - if we chose to be. Love, light and laughter. Thank you again EH.

All our tech today exists only BECAUSE our ancestors were able to observe and learn! All our computers have to be programed by someone and the knowledge they use is based off of thousands of years of learning. The people who built Stonehenge didn't need computers... but our computers need their learnings!

Watching the colours in the sky change over the stones with everyone gathered there is truly amazing. I couldn’t get there but I watched the sun rise from the ancient South Downs in Sussex at the same time. Have a wonderful Summer solstice 🌞🌿

In Kotxebue Alaska where I live the sun rose on June 2nd and will set again on 2:37 AM Sunday, July 10, 2022 (AKDT) so not sure when our longest day is, Sunset in Kotzebue, AK

I know Kotzebue. Largest bear every recorded was killed there - 2200 lb polar bear. The museum is incredible and the pics of the "small" people beside it are humbling.

I go to the Solstice every year and let me tell you 2022 Was a disgrace What have English heritage done to this beautiful festival About 6000 people were There I remember when it used to pull in 30,000 + ( When the parking was free) ...... Let's not forget people it is called (Stonehenge FREE festival ) ... one love ☮️

I thought that recent research points that in fact it was the complete opposite of what's celebrated here - *winter solstice* that was the more significant in the construction of Stone henge. But anyhow,still nice to observe this👍
